In June 2023, reports came out that someone living in Kim Zolciak-Biermann and Kroy Biermann's home phoned the police more than once. According to Us Weekly, Kim called the police and said that Kroy said that Kim's friend kidnapped their son.
Kim explained that he was "filing kidnapping [charges] for his son going to the rodeo” and their son was “dropped off with a woman named Aleese.”
Kim and Kroy have four kids: 9-year-old Kane and Kaia, 11-year-old Kash, and 12-year-old Kroy Jr. Kim also has two children from a previous relationship: 21-year-old Ariana and 26-year-old Brielle.

According to Us Weekly, Elise posted to her Instagram Stories with more information. She says that her child and KJ are friends and that is why she was looking after him.
Elise said, “There was zero kidnapping. I took KJ, one of [my daughter] Alanna’s closest friends, to the Blairsville annual rodeo that he was super excited about. His mother Kim, who is an incredible mom and friend, gave me permission and brought him to meet me & his two best friends, one is my daughter.”
Elise said the story is "defamation and slander." She also said, "[KJ’s] father, Kroy, is desperately trying to control every move to ensure he gets full custody and child support so he falsely accused me of kidnapping KJ so he can appear as the parent who takes the kids out.”
Kim said more about the situation and explained that Elise was bringing KJ to "the rodeo" and called it "a playdate." Page Six reported that TMZ heard what she said to the police. Kim said, “[Kroy] has harassed not only the mother, but my son is shaking and hysterically crying. And now I’m just going to leave and just go pick him up to prevent this situation. I just don’t know what else to do at this point.” She continued, "This is just so petty and I hate to call 911 for this situation."

The Daily Mail reported that the couple announced their breakup in May 2023. According to The Daily Mail, she posted someone else's words on Instagram and seemed to referring to her husband. She said, "Manipulation is when they blame you for your reaction to their toxic behavior, but never discuss their disrespect that triggered you."
It's possible that Kroy doesn't want to say anything about the situation. He and Kim have been speaking through their lawyers since they are dealing with the question of custody and working out those issues.
Us Weekly reported that Kim and Kroy first began dating in 2010 and became parents to Kroy in 2011 before getting married that same year.
