Now that Love Is Blind is in its seventh season, the structure of the reality TV show is well known to many viewers. At first, hopeful singles go on blind dates in the pods, seeing if they find their perfect match, and if they do, they can choose to get engaged before they've ever even laid eyes on their beloved.

After that, the couple is allowed to date in real life, going on vacation, moving in together, and eventually planning a wedding together—if they make it that far. Once filming on the show has concluded, there's a gap between when the cameras officially turn off and when the season airs, and for many cast members, their lives have moved on in big ways since then.

For one very notable cast member from this season, Nick, it's possible that this may be the case for him. When Nick was pressed by TMZ during an interview, he may have let slip that he's no longer with his partner from the show.

Nick Spoke About Casting For The Show

Nick's interview with the outlet appears extremely casual, as he appears in baggage claim at LAX, standing while he talks to his interviewer. The first question he's asked is whether he thinks the producers of the show should do a better job vetting potential cast members to ensure that they actually want to get married instead of participating in hopes of getting famous afterward.

You Won't Believe Love Is Blind's Garrett's "Married Man" Glow-Up

Garrett's new look is turning heads.

When the interviewer cited Nick's fellow cast member Stephen as someone who clearly went on the show for the wrong reasons (referring to how Stephen was sexting a woman who wasn't his fiancée), Nick responded in a cool and neutral way:

All I can say is that everyone has their own problems that they're dealing with. Everybody's got issues. And so they do vet you. We went through 10-12 interviews, man. It's a really long, drawn-out process, and I think everybody who gets on the show is there to find love. Some work out, some don't.

Off of Nick's response, the interviewer asked Nick why he chose to audition for Love Is Blind specifically, noting that there are so many dating shows to choose from and that he could've even been the next Bachelor. This is when Nick made his seemingly fatal slip up.

Laughing at the interviewer's comment, Nick smiled and seemed to think it over for a second before responding, "That's next. Come on. Vote me in, America." It wasn't long before the interviewer seized on his comment, pointing out, "I thought you were married, bro."

Nick Tries To Backtrack

Realizing that he'd be called out, Nick tried to cover up his tracks. He scoffed at the man's question and responded by saying, "I am married," though viewers who watch the video might question whether Nick is actually telling the truth. He tried to move on to a different topic of conversation, elaborating on his process for getting cast on the show.

"They slid in my DMs," Nick said, setting the record straight that it was the producers of the show who reached out to him, not the other way around. He went on to say that he mulled over his decision after they reached out to him before finally deciding to say "f*** it" and give his reality TV debut a shot.

For TMZ's part, the interviewer continued to press Nick, not holding back with some of their harsher questions. When discussing Nick being courted for the show, they asked him what he imagined the producers saw on his page that made them interested in casting him:

Do you think they said 'This guy needs love and girls can't see him before they choose you?'

While the question might be construed as slightly rude, once again Nick took it in with a smile, doing his best to answer honestly. "I guess I'm a little lonely-looking, right?" he teased, leaning into the man's blunt words. He went on to give a more serious answer, saying he thought the production team picked up on his "vibe" and "good style."

Nick seemed to bring the conversation back to the fact that he was indeed a married man. "I mean, I found someone, right?" he said when discussing the experiment's success. The conversation ends with Nick also sharing that he's since gotten his own place to live. Throughout the course of the season, the fact that he was living with his parents was a large plot point in his story with Hannah, so fans will surely be happy to hear of this new development.

After the interview concluded, Nick apparently reached back out to the outlet to clarify his joking remarks about wanting to be the Bachelor. He emphasized that the interview had been scheduled at the airport, where he'd just come off of a six-hour flight following an eight-hour work day, and that therefore he wasn't at his sharpest while answering the questions.

Apparently, Nick told them that he was just "having fun with it" but was by no means alluding to the fact that he was single. Whether this is true or not remains to be seen, as more episodes of the season have yet to air. Viewers of the show are still eagerly awaiting the final three episodes, which will include the wedding ceremonies, as well as the reunion episode, which was just announced last week.

Even if Nick and Hannah do make it down the aisle, however, it doesn't necessarily mean that the pair is still together today. It's very possible that the two could've remained an item throughout the course of filming but since broken up once the cameras were no longer rolling. It certainly wouldn't be the first time something like that had occurred on the show. Until then, fans can tune in to the next batch of episodes, which drops on Wednesday, October 16th, to see which of their favorite couples make it all the way to the altar.
