With the Kardashians, everyone knows that their lives are always a drama. Whether it's relationships, breakups, giving birth, family, friends, or literally anything else, everything with the family is always intense—and just so happens to be played out for all the world to see.
One drama that has recently occurred is the relationship and then breakup between Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson. Most of this drama was caused by Kim's ex-husband Kanye West, but according to recent reports, Pete was fully committed to Kim and was even considering marrying her, despite all the drama that was caused by Kanye.
What Happened With Kim Kardashian And Pete Davidson?
Whilst many things about their relationship have often been speculated, as they were either never confirmed by the couple or were blown way out of proportion by Kanye, one thing that can be said is that they seemed to have somewhat of a whirlwind romance that felt like it had been going on a lot longer than it actually did.
The pair appeared in that famous SNL sketch, where Kim played Jasmine and Pete played Aladdin, and, much to the delight of fans, they kissed. It was this that started the rumors of a potential romance between the pair, for it to then be confirmed a little further down the line.
Despite there being a lot of confusion surrounding the relationship, including that it could potentially be a PR relationship, it seems that the relationship was actually rather genuine.
However, it clearly wasn't meant to be as the pair broke up a few months later, and up until recently, there has been a lot of confusion and speculation surrounding the reason behind their breakup.
Kanye Allegedly Played A Big Part In Kim And Pete's Breakup
Kim is not one to shy away from the cameras and the whole of the Kar-Jenner clan are somewhat open with everything that is going on with their lives. It was also on-camera for the first time that Kim hinted at what may have caused her and Pete to break up.
This all came out during an episode of The Kardashians, where Kim was opening up to her sister Khloé and Scott Disick about the breakup and whilst she didn't go into specifics about what caused the breakdown of her and Pete's relationship, she did hint at it being something to do with Kanye.
In the clip, Kim revealed that she hates breakups (as does everyone) and that she's not the type of person to do hookups or get involved in something short-term just to end it, as she's in it for the long haul. This means that when a relationship ends for Kim, it hurts her quite badly.
Kim then went on to reveal that she felt a lot of guilt about the relationship, saying that she feels bad because "Pete went through a lot" due to her relationship, which many believe to be about Kanye.
When the pair first split, there was a lot of speculation surrounding the end of the relationship, with sources telling the press that it was due to them having spent quite a lot of time apart and issues with the age difference.
The same source also said that the ending of the relationship had absolutely nothing to do with Kanye, but given that his outbursts on social media about their relationship were widely publicized and Kim's comments when talking to Khloé and Scott, it's hard to know what to believe.
Even if Kanye didn't cause the relationship to breakdown, Kim is still mad at him for his actions following the breakup; after he took to Instagram to post a fake newspaper headline that read 'SKETE DAVIDSON DEAD AT 28', which likely ended up causing a lot more drama between the former couple.
Obviously, it can only be taken from what Kim has said as to what caused the relationship to break down, but given that she hasn't specifically said that it was to do with Kanye, this can only be speculation at this point.
Pete Had Reportedly Proposed To Kim Before Their Relationship Ended
Despite only having been together for nine months and having to deal with all the drama from Kanye, this didn't seem to deter Pete from wanting to be with Kim. In fact, it has also been reported that Pete had proposed to Kim before they went their separate ways.
Given that Kim had not long ended marriage number three at the time she and Pete started dating, she was apparently in a place where she was wanting to take things slow, whereas Pete was desperate to show his commitment to Kim by proposing.
It's allegedly one of the things that has pushed Kim away because she wasn't in a position to think about yet another marriage at that moment in time; whereas marriage was all that Pete could think about.
Who Is Kim Kardashian Currently In A Relationship With?
Despite having told Khloé and Scott during their chat that she's "single, but not ready to mingle," it appears that all that may now have changed for Kim, who is allegedly dating someone new.
Referring to the man in question when talking to Scott as 'Fred', things are apparently quite good between the pair. But it's all very new, and he's not someone she's completely settled on fully committing to yet... though who knows where this one might go?
