Cassie Accused Diddy Of Disturbing Things During Decade Together
Diddy and Cassie dated for nearly a decade until they broke up in 2018. They met when Cassie was 18. Diddy signed her to his label Bad Boy Records, and they began dating within two years.
However, their age gap was always a source of controversy. Diddy, now 54, was nearly two decades older than Cassie, 37. While she was just trying to establish herself in the industry when they met, Diddy already had a years-long career as a producer, among many things, with the power to make or break an artist’s career.
Cassie’s lawsuit claimed that she was subjected to mistreatment during the entirety of their time together. The case included allegations of sex trafficking and forced substance abuse.
Cassie specifically claims that Diddy sexually assaulted her when she tried to initiate a break-up, and also forced her to have sex with multiple men at times, even videotaping the encounters.
“After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships,” Cassie said in a statement when she first filed the lawsuit.
“With the expiration of New York’s Adult Survivors Act fast approaching, it became clear that this was an opportunity to speak up about the trauma I have experienced and that I will be recovering from for the rest of my life,” she continued.
