After becoming a music superstar, Sean "Diddy" Combs spent many years in the spotlight. During that time, Diddy was often seen with his celebrity friends when he wasn't with his employees and his many kids. For example, he used to party with legitimate legends and, unlike 50 Cent who had a tumultuous relationship with him, several celebrities have defended Diddy after he faced allegations.

Long before the disturbing allegations against him surfaced, Diddy was seen with the cast of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. That is because Diddy made a cameo appearance on the beloved sitcom that, in retrospect, has strange connections to his alleged crimes.

After Cassie Ventura sued Sean "Diddy" Combs for abusing her, a series of people came forward to accuse the rapper of dark things. Those allegations led to an official investigation which resulted in Diddy's arrest and him being sent to prison where he awaits his trial.

Between all the allegations, Diddy has been accused of many crimes and atrocious actions.

Years before those accusations surfaced, Diddy appeared in an It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia episode titled "Charlie's Mom Has Cancer." Since that episode aired many years ago, most fans don't realize that Diddy's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia appearance has connections to his alleged crimes.

As any fan of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia should already know, the popular sitcom tackles a lot of very dark topics.

One example of that is the fact that Diddy's character from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia turned out to be a deceptive liar. Based on what Diddy has been accused of, that alone is a connection to his IASIP character, but it gets a lot more specific than that.

Diddy’s Dad Died In A Shocking Way Involving Lies, Crime And Violence

The shocking truth about how Diddy's dad reportedly died is a tale involving lies and horrible violence.

During his episode of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Diddy portrayed a character who was originally known as Dr. Jinx. When he was going by that name, Diddy's character claimed to be treating one of the gang who had a health problem.

Before Diddy appeared on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, he'd already shown his comedy chops when he starred in Get Him to the Greek. Screen Rant's June 2010 review of Get Him to the Greek stated that Diddy was the part of the movie that made them laugh the most.

As a YouTube video of Diddy from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia reveals, however, Dr. Jinx wasn't a doctor at all. Instead, Dr. Jinx was a gardener who lied to Rob McElhenney's character Mac and treated him with a chemical without permission.

During the episode, Dr. Jinx sprayed Mac with a pesticide. That meant that Diddy's character tricked Mac into letting his body absorb the harmful substance without knowing it.

Given that Diddy has been accused of getting his alleged victims to drink substances without knowing it, that is one thing his character had in common with him.

Given the extreme scenarios that It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia often portrays, the show easily could have been canceled amid controversy. Instead, NPR reported in December 2021 that It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia had become the longest-running live-action sitcom of all time. Several more seasons have aired since that time.

It also has to be noted that pretending to be a doctor and tricking someone into absorbing a dangerous substance would be a serious crime. Fortunately, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is a crazy sitcom, but Diddy really has been accused of doing something similar.

During a forgotten interview, Diddy spoke about helping new artists before he was asked about being "suspect."

Diddy's It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia also had another connection to the real-life accusations that the rapper has faced.

Diddy's episode of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia was the sixth episode of season eight. On IMDb, Diddy's episode, "Charlie's Mom Has Cancer," has a 7.7/10 rating.

During the first scene featuring Diddy's character, he brought up the idea of paying someone to have an intimate encounter. To be clear, Diddy's character suggested that the gang were the ones who may have paid for an intimate encounter. While that is a line that could appear in any episode of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Diddy uttering that line brings up the accusations that have been made against him.

Between the lawsuits that have been filed against Diddy and the charges he is facing, some accusers have made claims that others don't. However, there definitely are themes that virtually all of Diddy's accusers and the authorities have made against him.

One of the most common accusations Diddy is facing is that he tricked people into having encounters with people who are paid to be intimate. On top of that, a September 2024 Variety article reported that Diddy is facing several charges related to him buying the services of people who are paid to have intimate encounters.

Jennifer Lopez Is Linked To Diddy's Alleged Crimes After Fans Completely Forget About Her Arrest

Jennifer Lopez could get wrapped up in a criminal investigation because of the crimes Diddy is accused of according to a report.

The Hollywood Reporter's interviewer asked Glenn how the team behind It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia got Diddy on the show. In response, Glenn revealed that Charlie Day asked Diddy to appear on It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

"Sean is a fan of the show. He had met with Charlie [Day] at one point, and Charlie asked if he wanted to be on the show. We think he’s really funny and wanted to do something totally different with him, which is why we gave him the whitest character we could possibly give him [a church gardener with an affinity for natural healing]."

As his conversation with The Hollywood Reporter continued, Glenn revealed that Diddy changed some aspects of his character, but he mostly stayed with the script.

"He’s a pretty good improv-er. We like to play on set and improvise, and he was totally game for that. He stuck to the script for the most part, but there were a couple of moments where he stepped out and threw some interesting stuff in there."

Given that Glenn seemed so positive about Diddy's It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia appearance, he must have been shocked when the allegation surfaced.
