Fans tuned in religiously over a decade ago on MTV, as the hit reality series 'Jersey Shore' turned into a juggernaut for the network. At the forefront of the show, was the drama between Ronnie Magro and Sammi Giancola. As viewers realized, the two had a rocky relationship, though, despite their hardships, they always managed to make up. However, Ronnie had a decision to make regarding their future and as he discussed with People, he just wasn't ready to make the jump, "She gave me a timeline. She was like, I want to get married in six months — and I’m still trying to figure my life out,” he continued. “I got cold feet. I wanted to do the right thing, but there was a part of me that was like, ‘I’m not going to do the right thing.’ So I didn’t do it. I ended up cheating, she found out. I blew it. It’s over.”
Fans were stunned when Sammi turned down a return on the reboot, Ronnie felt a little more at ease with her decision, "On the one hand, it sucked because we all started this together so we wanted to end it together,” he says. “But at the same time, it worked out better for me because it was just less drama for the house. Less fighting and bickering. Who really wants to live in a house with their ex? That’s just the most uncomfortable feeling in the world.”
Sammi has separated herself from the reboot, refraining from anything 'Jersey Shore' related. What fans really want to know, is has there been any communication between the two?
Moving On
To sum up, no, the two haven't talked. Sammi clearly decided to move on, not only rejecting the reboot but also getting married to Christian Biscardi.
The cast congratulated Sammi, though most of the cast were not invited to her wedding. Ronnie did not congratulate Sammi and of course, he wasn't invited to the wedding either. That doesn't mean that Ronnie isn't happy for her, "You know, God bless her, and I’m glad that she found happiness,” Magro told the outlet. “I’m glad that we’ve all found happiness, you know? We’re very lucky.”
Ronnie definitely had a change of heart as earlier in the reboot of the series, he was still mentioning his ex to Deena, "She’s not here. She’s not our friend. She doesn’t have our backs,” he said. “Because if she did, she’d be here with us. I’m having a kid and I’m still here. What the f— does she got going on that’s more important than me?”
The two have gone their separate ways and it seems as though Sammi is content in putting that side of her life in the past for good.
