Rap superstar Drake has been linked to a list of beautiful women in the past. The star's personal life is as talked about as his career. However, back in 2018, he made headlines for a totally different reason when he was accused of hiding his son. Then, a wild fan theory set Twitter abuzz with claims that the rapper was not hiding the tot and had in fact referenced his son in his hit song "God's Plan." The theory was later debunked and revealed to be false.

It is not uncommon for fans to cook up theories about their favorite celebrities. Sometimes these ideas are intriguing and entertaining, while other times those fan theories are downright wacky and straight out of crazy town. In Drake's case, the fan that came up with the theory about Adonis' alleged middle name was just looking to have some fun on social media.

Updated on June 2, 2023: Whether Drake referenced his son's middle name or not, there is no doubt that the rapper loves being a father. The artist has worked out a comfortable co-parenting routine with his baby mama, Sophie Brussaux.

Adonis is now 5 years old, and even appeared in his first interview earlier this year. Drake and his son appeared on an episode of "Sundae Conversation" for the Barstool Sports channel on YouTube.

The Rapper Was Accused Of Hiding His Son

Drake is no stranger to rumors he probably wishes would quietly disappear. From his colorful love life to accusations of him hiding his baby boy, he is constantly a topic of conversation. It is understandable that some celebrities would want to keep their children out of the spotlight, and many stars have done it. Although, in this rapper's case the accusations bordered on his alleged refusal to acknowledge his son, Adonis, at all.

It was rapper Pusha T who revealed the news about Drake's son in a diss track titled "The Story of Adidon." Part of the lyrics read: "You are hiding a child, let that boy come home… Adonis is your son." Drake would later drop a track of his own in which he seemingly acknowledged his son, with the lyrics, "I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world. I was hiding the world from my kid. "

In 2020, Cheat Sheet reported, "It’s been almost two years since the world found out that rapper Drake has a son he had been keeping a secret. Fellow rapper Pusha T was the one to spill the news through song lyrics. Drake himself confirmed a few months later through song lyrics of his own."

Drake's 2018 song "God's Plan" has lyrics that read, "I only love my bed and my momma, I'm sorry." Some fans theorized that the rapper was, in fact, saying, "I only love Mahbed." The theory went out of control, with many people claiming that Drake had in fact referenced his son's middle name in the track, months before Pusha T's revelation. The rumor was that the rapper's son's name was actually Adonis Mahbed Graham.

A fan tweeted, "Drake’s son's name is Adonis Mahbed Graham. And Mahbed means “chosen one” in Romanian. In God’s plan drake said, 'I only love my bed (Mahbed) and my mama I’m sorry' #staywoke."

It turns out, Mahbed does not even mean "chosen one" in Romanian!

The Twitter account that started the rumor was a parody account that made jokes about Drake. The theory was debunked and put to rest once and for all.

As per Elite Daily, "Further debunking this theory is the fact that there is not a single remotely reputable source that's reported Drake's son's middle name is Mahbed and this whole theory seems to have sprung up solely from @ThingsDrakeDo's tweet. Some fans tried to debunk the theory by pointing out that Drake has seemingly confirmed that the lyrics to 'God's Plan' are, in fact, 'I only love my bed and my momma.'"

It goes to show how quickly false information spreads in the digital age and affirms why some celebrities go to great lengths to keep their private lives out of the limelight.
