With every Academy Awards event, the world is reminded of Harvey Weinstein’s obsolescence, growing by the year. For decades, the film mogul was a staple at Oscars ceremonies, having become one of the most powerful figures in Hollywood history. Among other things, he was famous for employing all means necessary to ensure that his movies and actors won the most coveted of prizes in the industry.
Weinstein’s empire came crashing down, however, when allegations of sexual impropriety against him became publicized, and he was consequently canceled, and sentenced to 23 years in prison. Through his lawyers, he revealed in late 2022 that he was planning to appeal this sentence. If the case of fellow disgraced showbiz star Bill Cosby suggests anything — including a complete overturning of his conviction — it's that it's a possibility, and clearly that was the case here, too.
The stories of Weinstein’s purported behavior towards actresses are extremely chilling. Even the women who feel they got off easy compared to their compatriots still have shocking tales to tell of their experiences with him. Kate Beckinsale is one such example, who claimed that the producer targeted her before she had even turned 18.
Yet it is not only Weinstein’s colleagues in Hollywood who were affected by his actions. His children from two previous marriages would have definitely felt the impact of his behavior, and subsequent incarceration.

Harvey Weinstein's 23-Year Jail Sentence Overturned As He Wins Appeal
The appeals court determined the judge in Weinstein's original case was prejudiced, leading them to overturn his conviction.
Updated April 2024: In 2020, Harvey Weinstein was found guilty of sexual abuse of two different women in instances that occurred in 2006 and 2013. He was sentenced to 23 years in prison, of which Weinstein has been serving. However, on April 25, 2024, that conviction was overturned by the Court of Appeals. The reason for the appeal comes from testimony that was allowed into evidence that the Court of Appeals determined placed Weinstein in a "prejudicial light." As such, Weinstein is now eligible for a new trial, where his accusers will again need to testify against him.
How Many Children Does Harvey Weinstein Have?
Harvey Weinstein has five children
The first time that Harvey Weinstein got married was to his assistant, Eve Chilton. The couple tied the knot in 1987 and had three daughters together — Remy (born Lily), Emma, and Ruth. Remy, the eldest, was born in 1995, followed by Emma in 1998, and Ruth in 2002. When the Weinstein scandal became fully blown in 2017, he was allegedly living with Remy in L.A. At some point, he disappeared without informing her of his whereabouts, and she was forced to call the police to say that he had been “suicidal and depressed.”
Emma Weinstein looked the most likely to follow in her father’s footsteps by stepping into the movie business. Her IMDb profile page credits her as “additional crew” in four episodes of a TV miniseries titled On the Ropes.

Yellowstone Would Not Have Happened Without Harvey Weinstein
Before he was a disgraced movie producer, Harvey Weinstein held clout in Hollywood and may be responsible for the success of 'Yellowstone.'
Weinstein and Chilton got divorced in 2004. About three years later, he got married for the second time — to English actress and model Georgina Chapman. With her, he had another daughter and one son, making him the father of five kids in total. Following the explosion of sexual misconduct allegations against him, Chapman also divorced Weinstein.
Harvey Weinstein’s Adult Children Have Reportedly Disowned Him

Harvey Weinstein’s two youngest children are India and Dashiell, born in 2010 and 2013 respectively. As such, these have stayed away from the public eye so far. When the magnate’s divorce to Georgina Chapman was finalized in 2021, she was not only awarded up to $20 million in the way of a settlement, she was also granted full custody of the two kids.
On the other hand, Weinstein’s children from his first marriage are now grown up, enough to make up their own minds about their desired relationship with him. Unfortunately for the former exec, Remy, Emma and Ruth are of a mind to distance themselves from him as much as possible.

The Dress That Almost Ruined Scarlett Johansson's Reputation In Hollywood
Both the company that made the dress and Scarlett Johansson had to issue statements related to the controversial collaboration.
Weinstein’s defense lawyer Donna Rotunno revealed as much in an interview with the Daily Mail when the guilty verdict came in in 2020.
“His oldest daughters don’t speak to him,” she said. So I mean it’s horrific. The ripple effect of someone losing their freedom is beyond what any of us could comprehend.”
Does Harvey Weinstein Still Speak To His Younger Children?
With Harvey Weinstein in prison, he's had no contact with his younger children over the last several years
Donna Rotunno went on to suggest that while Harvey Weinstein’s relationship with his older children had been completely severed, he had remained in contact with Georgina Chapman and their two kids.
“He's been seeing the younger kids their whole lives. They live next door to each other, he has a great relationship with his younger children,” Rotunno explained. “[Harvey and Georgina] are divorced, but they work well together with the kids.”
When Chapman made the decision to break up with Weinstein in October 2017, she released a statement to People magazine. In the brief, she insisted that her primary focus was on India and Dashiell.
“My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions,” the statement read. “I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time.”
About one year later, Chapman did an exclusive shoot and interview with Vogue, where she went deeper into details about how the experience had been for her and her children. “I’ve had to look at my life, and maybe I’m going to create something better for my children out of this,” she said.
