Khloé Kardashian is often referred to as the most down-to-earth of the Kardashian-Jenner clan. The reality tv star has bared her soul to fans through thick and thin, proving she isn't afraid to get real.
However, there seems to be one thing particularly fake about the reality tv star - and it's her appearance on social media. Khloé has suffered some crazy Photoshop fails over the years but has only copped to a handful of them. Truthfully, she only admits to her photoshopping when the mistakes are pretty egregious. Despite several misshapes with photoshop, the star has continued to post clearly edited images frequently on social media. Many fans wonder if the millionaire reality tv star does the editing herself or does she pay for someone to photoshop her pictures.
Who Photoshops Khloé Kardashian's Photos?
We don't know who photoshops Khloé Kardashian's photos. She has admitted to photoshopping pictures posted on social media when caught by fans. For example, she took the blame during the whole Disneyland Photoshop debacle of 2022.
For months, the Kardashians let fans question the validity of a photo posted by Kim Kardashian of her daughter, Chicago, and Khloé's daughter, True, at Disneyland. Eagle-eye viewers pointed out that True's hairstyle and facial expression were identical to photos posted by Khloé in the past.
"Welllppp I f–ked this one up. Anyways….. let's focus on something else," tweeted Khloe after she posted that True was visiting Disneyland for the first time for her birthday in April. This was three months after the photo of True and Stormi at Disneyland had been posted by Kim.
Still, fans agree the star must have someone on the payroll taking care of her edits since they are abundant. One thread under the Keeping Up With The Kardashians Reddit page poses the question, "Who does the editing/ photoshopping? The Kardashians or someone from their team?"
Several fans agree in the comment section that the family must have someone who helps them out. "I think it's a bit of both, which is why sometimes the photoshopping/facetuning is very subtle and hard to spot (done by professionals) and sometimes it's very obviously botched (when it's done by them)," said the comment with the highest upvotes on the thread.
Khloé has blamed "members of her team" for some of her egregious photoshop fails, which means she could be paying someone to edit and post her pictures. In October 2022, an altered photo of Khloe in a black catsuit was published and quickly deleted from her Instagram.
As we know, everything that makes its way onto the internet lives forever, so it wasn't long before Twitter was ablaze with the photo accompanied by fans pointing out how tiny Khloe's waist was and the clearly curved lines in the wall behind her.
Does Khloé Kardashian Use Facetune?
The star herself admitted to using Facetune in a 2016 interview with Chelsea Handler, meaning she may still be editing her own photos. At that time, she called the app "life-changing" and talked about how helpful it was for social media. "It's not real, you are presenting to the world what you want them to believe you are. It's amazing. I think our society nowadays is so caught up on getting validation from the social world that no one really knows, so they post these things," said Khloé during the interview.
Over the years, however, she's become much less inclined to admit to using Facetune. One vivid example of this was when Khloé's 2021 Good American glam shots appeared to be heavily edited. It was impossible to miss Khloé's elongated feet and fingers in the pictures, along with her overly edited face.
Rather than admitting to editing the pictures in Photoshop, The Kardashian's star told fans it was merely an effect from the camera lens they used during the photoshoot. "And personally I think this camera lens is so f--king cool. It gives the photo a different vibe and not the same old visual I always see. Either way, I'm happy with them," said Khloé when addressing the issue on her Instagram.
Has Khloe Kardashian Ever Admitted She Photoshops Her Pictures?
Khloé has admitted to photoshopping her pictures, but her admissions of doing so have become less and less the more famous she's become. She plays the victim a lot, too. During an episode of The Kardashians, Khloé vents to her longtime friend Malika about how she's afraid to post on Instagram because of what people will say about her looks.
Responding to a fan on Twitter, Khloe said she gets anxious every single time she posts on Instagram. "I feel my pulse jump out of my skin. I can't even look. I just post and ghost. I'll get back to khlomoney soon," said Khloé in the tweet.
The cyberbullying Khloé faces is horrible, and anyone who is desperate enough to comment on the looks of someone else online clearly has more significant issues. Still, truthfully it's kind of hard to feel bad for her. Not because she's rich, famous, and obviously beautiful, but because she's clearly okay with lying about photoshopping her social media posts. It took her and her family months to admit that they photoshopped True's face onto Stormi's, and that was just because they got caught red-handed.
If they're that quick to lie about their own photoshop fails involving their children, how can we trust the photos they are constantly posting of themselves? Their lies' negative effect on millions of women's self-esteem and self-worth has also become measurable, with multiple studies proving it. For a family that profits off being real, it's pretty wild they've gotten away with being so fake on social media for so long.
The public and Facetune themselves are not afraid to call Khloé or her sisters out on their blatant use of editing techniques. The most recent example was in January 2023, when Kylie Jenner posted a shot of her wearing a bodysuit from Skims. The billionaire didn't tag her sister's brand, leading Kim to comment on the post, "can you tag @Skims please LOL."
It wasn't long until Facetune joined in on the fun, commenting, "can they tag me, pls LOL" The sisters didn't respond to Facetune's comment. While they didn't directly respond to the comment, Kylie later posted a selfie of herself captioned by Kim's infamous line, "don't be f--king ruuuude." They weren't rude, Kylie. They were just being realistic, LOL.
