Doja Cat exuded feline vibes at the 2023 Met Gala, taking inspiration from Karl Lagerfeld's iconic cat Choupette. Her bold look consisted of a feathered dress by Oscar de la Renta and a hood reminiscent of the musical Cats. To complete her transformation, she enlisted the help of Malina Stearns for prosthetics. Despite it being her debut at the Met Gala, Doja Cat remained poised and confident, even puffing on her vape pen as she made her grand entrance.
Fans did not seem to be supporters of the prosthetics, nor did they like her disrespect towards Emma Chamberlain, who attempted to interview her and only got meows as a response. Her Met Gala after party attire was also made by Oscar de la Renta, and she ditched the cat face. Whether it was the outfit or the artificial scowl, admirers agreed that that was what she should have worn on the Met's red carpet.
Doja Cat's Cat Face At The Met Gala
Fans were torn when Doja Cat arrived; while some thought the look was purrfect, others gave their honest opinions. Comments like, “The dress is pretty, but WTF? I swear, this world. Take me, Jesus. I’m ready", “So strange," and "I could do without the Cats on Broadway vibes, but the gown is fire" were some of the remarks filling up social media.
This is nothing new; Doja Cat has shown a strong commitment to her persona in recent months. She is unafraid to make bold fashion choices at events, such as fashion week and award shows. Despite criticism for shaving her head bald, the rapper remained steadfast in her decision and did not let the negativity affect her.
Doja Cat doesn't let what others think affect her, it's a good quality to have in today's world, especially when you are constantly in the public eye. She took advantage of the opportunity to go to the Met Gala and she delved deeper into experimenting with stunning beauty styles.

As mentioned, she did remove the whiskers and such, and revealed a beautiful glammed up face. She had on thick corner lashes to emphasize the cat eye-look and an ombre lip making hers look much bigger and fuller than they already are.
