It came as a shock for fans to hear that Drake & Josh alum Drake Bell will appear in the Investigation Discovery series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, which will investigate cases of child abuse in showbusiness. It will reportedly be mostly about producer Dan Schneider, but Drake Bell will focus on Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck.

According to a sneak peek of the show, "Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell will be sharing publicly, for the first time, the story of the abuse he suffered at the hands of Brian Peck."

Back in 2003, Brian Peck was arrested on different charges of sexual abuse of a minor. The child in question was not named at the time, but reportedly, Drake Bell will reveal he was the victim in the case.

Brian Peck was convicted and sentenced to 16 months in jail a year after his arrest, and Drake Bell went on to star in Drake & Josh.

Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV will come out on March 17 and 18, and it will surely clear up a lot of doubts that have arisen since this shocking revelation.

At the time of the trial against the Nickelodeon coach, other actors were brought into the case to speak in defense of Brian Peck, and there are at least a few of them who regret it.

The Boy Meets World cast has recently spoken out about their own experience with the coach, with Rider Strong, Will Friedle, and Danielle Fishel reflecting on how inappropriate their interactions were.

"The other adults on set, who maybe could have or should have said, 'Why are you guys going to lunch with this guy?' 'Why is this guy going to Rider's house for a party?'" Danielle said.

Rider Strong and Will Friedle were brought in to defend Brian Peck at the time of the trial, something they deeply regret.

"We're sitting in that courtroom on the wrong side of everything... The victim's mother turned and said, 'Look at all the famous people you brought with you. And it doesn’t change what you did to my kid,'" Will Friedle said. "I just sat there wanting to die. It was like, 'What the hell am I doing here?' It was horrifying all the way around."

Although the actors claim they were groomed and manipulated by the coach, they take full accountability for their actions. "We weren't told the whole story, but it doesn’t change the fact that we did it. I still can’t get the words out to describe all of the things that I’m feeling inside of myself."
