Elon Musk has welcomed his 9th and 10th children, but the timeline is confusing everyone.
According to PEOPLE Magazine, court documents reveal that Shivon Zillis – the project director at his company Neuralink – gave birth to their twins in November.
The paperwork was filed in November in a request to change the twins’ last names to Musk, and it was granted in May. The babies originally had their mother’s last name, which has now been added as part of their middle name. The sexes and names of the twins were redacted in the court documents.
Elon May Have Cheated On Grimes With The Twins’ Mother
The timing of the twins’ birth has raised eyebrows, as they were delivered only weeks before Elon welcomed a second child with his on-and-off girlfriend Grimes.
The Canadian musician revealed they welcomed a daughter during the April cover story of Vanity Fair. The infant was born via a surrogate the year prior in December. Grimes revealed her name is Exa Dark Sideræl, though they call her Y for short. Grimes gave birth to their son, X Æ A-12, in May 2020. The parents call him X for short.
It was reported in September 2021 that Elon and Grimes had split, only months before their daughter arrived. "We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms,” Elon told Page Six at the time.
The billionaire implied their work schedules were to blame for the break-up. "It's mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in LA," he continued. "She's staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room."
But during her interview to Vanity Fair, Grimes implied their relationship is still romantic albeit complicated.
"I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we're very fluid,” she said while admitting their relationship is hard to define. Though she said they’re living separately, Grimes added they’re together “all the time.”
Elon hasn’t clarified the nature of his relationship with his infant twins’ mother, Shivon Zillis. Grimes has also not commented on speculation over whether Elon was unfaithful during their relationship.
Elon also shares 6 children with his ex-wife Justine Musk, who he was married to from 2000 to 2006. One of their children recently made headlines for saying she wants nothing to do with her famous father while applying for a legal name change and gender recognition.
