Classic Disney princess stories have changed the lives of several generations of children! Some of the most beloved Disney princesses have even received their own live-action films. The Disney princesses fans are still waiting to see movies from include princess Tiana from Princess and the Frog, Rapunzel from Tangled, Merida from Brave, Moana from Moana, and Pocahontas from Pocahontas. Kids will also eventually get a live-action version of Frozen with Elsa and Anna!

8 Cinderella Played By Lily James
The story of Cinderella is pretty heartbreaking. She is an orphaned girl who gets stuck living in the attic of her home doing chores for her evil stepmother and stepsisters. She maintains a gentle impure heart despite the fact that her stepmother and stepsisters give her a hard time and force her to do things that she doesn’t want to do on a daily basis.
Eventually, a fairy godmother grants her wishes and guides her down a path to meet a prince. Lily James is the actress who took on the role of Cinderella back in 2015. This movie followed the classic storyline very closely.
7 Jasmine Played By Naomi Grace Scott
Princess Jasmine was played by Naomi Grace Scott in the live-action version of Aladdin. Princess Jasmine was a girl who wanted to experience a normal life. She disguised herself as a commoner and traveled into the market place to interact with people who were not royal.
While she was there, she bumped into Aladdin for the first time and it sparked an interest in her. Princess Jasmine is one of the coolest Disney princesses because she has a pet tiger. Tigers are known for being ferocious and dangerous but her tiger is very gentle.
6 Snow White Played By Lily Collins
Lily Collins took on the role of Snow White in 2012. She isn’t the only actress to play Snow White in recent years... Kristen Stewart also played Snow White in 2012. The two movies were pretty competitive. The Lily Collins film was called Mirror Mirror and the Kristen Stewart film is called Snow White and the Huntsman.
In Mirror Mirror, Lily Collins actually looked like Snow White with the pale skin, dark hair, and red lips. In Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart didn’t visually match up with the animated version at all.
5 Mulan Played By Liu Yifei
The live-action version of Mulan has not been released yet but it is going to be released to Disney+ on September 4. It will be available for $30. It was supposed to be released in theaters but due to COVID-19 closures, the release date has been delayed over and over again.
Fans of the animated version of Mulan will be disappointed to find out that all of the songs have been removed and two awesome characters have been removed as well. Li Shang does not exist in the live-action film... neither does Mushu.
4 Belle Played By Emma Watson
Emma Watson is the actress who played Princess Belle in the live-action version of Beauty and the Beast. Emma Watson rose to fame in the Harry Potter movie franchise alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint.
She is a beautiful and fabulous actress and no one else could have taken on the role of Belle as perfectly as she did. Belle is known for being something of a bookworm. Emma Watson easily fit into the part with classiness and grace.
3 Ariel Played By Halle Bailey
Princess Ariel will be played by Halle Bailey in the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid. Production for the film was set to begin in early 2020 but due to COVID-19 closures, things have been put on hold.
Whether the film is released directly to Disney+ or it comes out in theaters, it is still going to be an exciting moment. The fact that they chose to cast Halle Bailey in the leading role shows that the world is changing.
2 Aurora Played By Elle Fanning
Princess Aurora, otherwise known as Sleeping Beauty, was played by Elle Fanning. Elle Fanning took on the role in 2014 and then again in 2019. She starred in the movie Maleficent alongside Angelina Jolie who played the leading role of Maleficent, also known as the evil witch.
Elle Fanning has never stayed in the shadows as Dakota Fanning's younger sister. She has stepped up and continues to stand out as her own person and as her own actress. She continues to take on major roles and her career continues to flourish.

Alice in Wonderland is not a princess story but Alice and everything she goes through is as magical as anything else the other princesses have experienced. Alice finds herself in "Wonderland." It's a place filled with talking animals, talking flowers, talking playing cards, and more.
She drinks potions and tonics, runs through forests, and tries to figure out how to move forward through Wonderland safely. In the end, she figures out that it was all just a dream! Although Alice is not considered an official Disney princess, she is often included alongside the other princess in official merchandise & media.
