Suekay Deniz recently told TheThings that her soon-to-release debut single came about through a series of unbelievable coincidences.
It wasn't the first time in her career that that had happened, though.
In fact, sitting down with us once again, Suekay revealed that much of her success as a content creator has been organic, at times a little unexpected ... and nearly always bigger than she could ever have imagined.
So, what are her secrets to making her biggest, wildest dreams possible ... and how can fans follow in her footsteps?
Suekay Recounts How She Got Her Start As A Creator
As Suekay has previously told us, a career in the creative space was never really something she aspired to, growing up.
So, how did she end up becoming a content creator?
As it turns out, in a Cinderella-esque twist, Suekay's life changed almost overnight thanks to the help of some special shoes.
"I have a huge designer shoe collection. I would never post it, because why would I, right? Then, out of nowhere, someone told me I should post outfits with my shoes. I was like, 'Really?' But, I started doing it."
So, what was her first ever video?
"Somebody came to do a photoshoot for my girlfriend, so I asked if they could take a quick video on my phone. It was just me walking - but it went viral! Just that video got over 2 million views. I was like 'What?!'"
From there, her content began gaining traction.
However, even with that growing popularity, Suekay laughs that she was still taken aback by just how fast everything happened.
After all, she jokes, "I was not social. It was like me and my three friends, and that was it."
If Anyone Knows How To Dream, It's Suekay
Suekay may have been surprised by her overnight success as a content creator, but since going viral the first time, she's learned a valuable lesson.
That is, even the most far-off, ridiculous-sounding dream can come true - and often, they do!
"If I could say anything to my younger self, I'd say, 'You are going to do everything you want to do.' Actually, I would probably tell myself to aim even higher and do more."
"Never in a million years would I have thought that I'd go to the Billboard Music Awards, or the Golden Globes, or meet all these celebrities, or have a song coming out!" she continues.
"Everything, even if it seems wild, is within your reach. In fact, I think your dreams and aspirations need to be crazy and wild."
Suekay's Advice To Ambitious Fans
In light of her own experience, Suekay's advice to fans is much like what she'd tell herself: dream bigger.
"Sometimes, we think we can't do things because of family or financials, or anything else not witin our reach, but in reality, everything - every single thing - is within our reach."
And, if that still seems a little far-fetched, Suekay points out that there's no need to put off getting started.
That's right - no fancy devices necessary, because more often than not, social media users gravitate to the more authentic content out there.
"The videos I posted were so unplanned, so simple, but people liked them. One of the things I've learned on social media, since then, is that you could put so much time and effort into something, thinking it'll blow up, and it doesn't. But, you could add a blooper, and that's what blows up."
"So," she adds, driving the point home, "I think any content creator who wants to do something needs to just upload their stuff. It doesn't matter if it's perfect or not!"
Suekay smiles, concluding our chat.
"I think, sometimes, things need to happen naturally, unexpectedly and out of the blue."
It's certainly worked for the TikTok sensation, herself.
