When social media users first got to know Suekay Deniz - known on TikTok and Instagram as @misskay_22 - she was primarily a fashion content creator.

However, that was just the beginning of this superstar's rise and rise.

Suekay is about to dip her toe into an all-new territory: music.

And, as should probably be expected, given how she got her start as a content creator, she's doing it in style.

We sat down with the rising star to hear more about her foray into the world of music.

Suekay Never Thought She'd Make Music

Suekay is set to release her debut track later this month, and it's safe to say, she's ecstatic about it.

However, that's not to say she grew up thinking she'd become an artist.

In fact, she laughs that the opposite was true.

"I remember being told, ‘Don’t remember lyrics!’ or ‘Don’t worry about the name of the movies! That’s not important - what is important is your job.’" she laughs.

Suekay obliged - no doubt motivated by how difficult it seemed to be, breaking into the industry.

"I was always afraid to try music, because once upon a time, you had to wait to be discovered! You submitted demos, or would sing on the promenade in Santa Monica. You really had to put yourself out there."

So, when did that all change?

"Once I got to a position where I had a platform on social media, and I felt stable, I could say, 'This is what I want to do,'" she beams.

And, as a bonus, she adds that her platform made even the more daunting aspects easier.

"With social media, you can put your craft out there and people are going to be able to find it and enjoy it. It's helped me reach people I never dreamed would find my content."

Suekay Is Doing This For Women Everywhere

Just as social media opened doors for Suekay to break into the music business, she's hoping to pay that forward to women, everywhere.

That's not too far off a dream for the songstress.

After all, her sound is EDM with Latin infused into it, which, as she explains, is fairly niche in itself.

Then, there's the fact that she's carving out that niche as a woman in a male-dominated space ... and as a newbie musician.

"By me going ahead and moving into this, I feel like I’m going to be able to open a little path, make my space in there, so that more women come in there and say, ‘Okay, she’s doing it - we can do it. There was a space for her, we can make a space for ourselves, also.'"

On top of all that, she explains, she hopes to show women that even when dreams seem far off - "Crazy," even - they're always within reach.

"I want to show that it’s possible at any time, at any moment, at any age … anything. You can do it. As a woman, you can do it. We can birth children! We can do this!"

Suekay Is Working With Icons, Already

While we're talking about Suekay's penchant for turning dreams into reality, it would be remiss not to mention a particularly impressive tidbit concerning her new music.

That is, she's not just working on new music as a newbie ... she's doing all that with industry legends, Richard Vission and Salvi.

So, how did that happen?

"After knocking on doors and not finding the right people, and thinking I’m never going to find what I want … somebody reached out to me and said, ‘Sue, can you do a reel for a TikTok for this artist?' And I said, 'That’s catchy, I'll do it!’"

Soon enough, she was chatting to the artist she was promoting, and she inquired who had put together the music ... and that turned out to be none other than Salvi.

Next thing she knew, she and Salvi were working on together on her first single, Sedúceme.

That wasn't all, though.

One day, while recording, a friend of Salvi's popped into the studio to hear what they were working on.

Said friend just so happened to be EDM master, Richard Vission.

"He said, ‘Let me give you guys some tips,’ and I said ‘No, I don’t want any tips … I want you to jump on this!’"

And just like that, he became a producer on the song.

Where To Hear 'Sedúceme'

So, Sedúceme was put together by legends, and has marked a turning point in Suekay's career ... but where can we hear it?

"The song is done!" she beams.

However, at the time of writing, they're waiting to hear back from labels.

That said, Suekay beams that come what may, fans should expect to hear it by late March.

We'll be waiting with bated breath until then.
