Wendy Williams and Blac Chyna have been close pals for years, but their friendship took a drastic turn after the talk show host made some very questionable remarks about Chyna’s living situation back in November 2020.

During a live taping of The Wendy Williams Show, she claimed that the mother of two “really needs help,” explaining how she had received a text from Chyna earlier in the week where she mentioned needing a new place to stay.

Viewers took this as Williams implying Chyna was homeless, which was far from the case, and people did not like the New York native calling out her supposed friend about her living arrangements on television.

Luckily, the two are back to being on good terms, but that didn’t stop fans from venting at Williams for carelessly dishing about private messages sent to her from friends.

What Did Wendy Williams Say About Blac Chyna?

It was during a live taping of her show back in November 2020 when Williams used her Inside Scoop segment to talk about Chyna, who she said had texted in a bid to secure a place to stay for the time being.

“Blac Chyna texts me regularly, ‘Can you help me find a condo? I have no place to live,’” the controversial former radio personality gushed.

To make matters worse, however, Williams also brought up the fact that Chyna has two children, King Cairo and Dream Kardashian, and mentioning that on top of her alleged trouble finding somewhere to live made it sound as if the socialite was homeless.

“Yep, single mother of two. Can I find her a place to live? And it was, like, random. Like, maybe she sent a blast to everybody she knows ’cause it didn’t say, ‘Dear Wendy.’ But I didn’t answer it. I didn’t want to be involved.”

Shortly after the episode had aired, even Williams’ devoted watchers bashed her for being rather insensitive about Chyna — even if she was having difficulties paying her rent or securing a new home, there was no need to dish out the dirt on her show.

“I can’t believe Wendy Williams just spoke about Blac Chyna not having anywhere to live, and then she brings up that she has two kids. So is she saying that Chyna is homeless with her children?” One person asked on Twitter.

Another added: “So whack of Wendy Williams to come at Blac Chyna like that. It was so unnecessary of her to bring it up and to be honest, Chyna makes enough money to have a roof over her head, so why would Wendy assume she can’t fend for herself.?

A third chimed in: “Blac Chyna has a baby by a Kardashian. You will not tell me that she’s broke, I just won’t believe it.”

Well, that very same week, the Lashed Cosmetics founder took to her Instagram and posted a video of herself flaunting her multiple luxury cars at her Calabasas home; the same property she’s had for well over four years.

Given the controversy that came with Williams claiming her “friend” was homeless, it was only right for Chyna to clear her name, but doing it in a subtle way where she wasn’t shading the talk show host in return.

The “Rack City” video vixen was applauded for the way she handled the matter, and apparently, Chyna didn’t even find the remarks to be that much of a big deal because, by January 2020, Williams said she had been talking to the reality star quite frequently.

Following the news that the mother of two’s Zeus show, The Real Blac Chyna, is coming to Zeus, Williams told her studio audience that her pal had agreed to partake in an upcoming interview.

And while she hasn’t come out and said she’s forgiven Williams for her comments, the fact that they are still engaging in phone conversations, and with Chyna agreeing to do another interview with the TV veteran, it appears as if any misunderstandings have been left in the past.

One theory was that Chyna may have messaged Williams, asking her to help her find a new place because she wanted to relocate — not because she was on the verge of being kicked out of her LA property.

While she made a name by being the former girlfriend of rapper Tyga, the “My Word” female rapper has created a brand for herself, which has since seen her launch a cosmetics empire, a production company, and an up-and-coming music career.

Simply put, there’s no chance Chyna will be going homeless anytime soon.
