While that may seem like an outrageous contention, Wall cited the things Diane Keaton has said in the past about her relationship with Pacino.
Introduced after both landed roles in The Godfather, Al Pacino and Diane Keaton would go on to be romantically involved several times over the years. Considering Diane Keaton has dated other leading men, it is incredible to read several interviews in which she has passionately spoken about her former feelings for Al Pacino. For example, during an interview with The Telegraph, Keaton said; “I was really very taken with Al from the very beginning.” Still, according to Keaton, she and Pacino didn’t become a couple while making The Godfather.

I wanted him to love me.” Continuing, Keaton outlined the Ultimatum she presented Pacino with before she began to date him again for the first time in many years. "Marry me, or at least commit to the possibility." Despite Pacino’s inability to agree to her terms, Keaton still got back together with him and from there, the couple broke up and got back together around a dozen times.
Reflecting on her many attempts to get Al Pacino to commit to her during the aforementioned Daily Mail interview, Diane Keaton has sympathy for him and herself as well. “ Poor Al. Poor me – I never stopped insisting.” Still, Keaton never gave up on Pacino until he broke up with her the final time after announcing that he never planned to marry her.
On the bright side, even though Pacino and Keaton couldn’t make things work, their affection for one another was still on full display years after their final split. When Dian Keaton received an AFI Life Achievement Award for her amazing acting career, Al Pacino appeared to celebrate her career and life. After telling a touching story of how Keaton was a very supportive partner, Pacino concluded his speech by saying “I love you forever” to her.

Based on the stories that Diane Keaton has told about her off and on again relationship with Al Pacino, it seems very clear that he has an aversion to getting married. That said, in the years since Pacino rose to fame, he has been romantically linked to a lot of different women, several of whom he was involved with for several years.
Aside from Diane Keaton, the most famous woman that Al Pacino has dated is Beverly D'Angelo. Best known for her role in the Vacation film franchise and Coal Miner’s Daughter, D'Angelo dated Pacino from 1997 until 2003. While the couple never got married, they were committed enough that she underwent IVF and then gave birth to Al’s twins, Olivia Rose and Anton James.
Additionally, Al Pacino has been linked to several actors over the years including Tuesday Weld, Jill Clayburgh, Marthe Keller, Kathleen Quinlan, and Lucila Polak. When it comes to Polak, she was Pacino’s girlfriend of ten years when they split in 2018. Finally, Pacino was in a relationship with a film director named Lyndall Hobbs for seven years.
Based on the fact that Al Pacino has been involved with more than one woman for several years but never wed any of them, there are reasons to conclude that he is married to acting instead. Of course, there is no way to know that is the case unless he confirms that idea in some way in the future.
