While people do love the show's characters, they can all acknowledge the fact that the characters had some genuinely terrible moments along the way. How Jerry Seinfeld Spends His Incredible $950 Million Net Worth

Jerry Seinfeld earns about $20 - $50 million per year from his Seinfeld syndication.

Updated May 2024: Jerry Seinfeld was invited to give a commencement speech at Duke University in May 2024. However, it did not go as planned as Seinfeld was not only booed, but graduates walked out on Seinfeld as well. All of this was spurred because Seinfeld, who is Jewish, has spoken out in support of Israel. Students walking out and protesting held Palestinian flags showing their distaste for Seinfeld's stance on the war. Those in support of Palestine also took advantage of Seinfeld being in the spotlight to highlight his relationship with the then-17-year-old Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss, painting Seinfeld in the worst light possible.

'Seinfeld' Is A Classic

The Things

Back in the 1980s, Seinfeld made its official debut on TV. The show about nothing was by no means an instant success, but NBC stuck with it. Once it found its groove, Seinfeld turned into a powerhouse that some consider to be the greatest TV show of all time.

Created by Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld, the show could very well have flopped in any other era. Timing is everything in entertainment, and thankfully, NBC was right to allow the show some room for development.

For nine seasons and 180 episodes, Seinfeld was a dominant force that few could match. It had iconic episodes, hilarious quotes, and a number of moments that people still talk about. Despite not being on the air for over 25 years now, people still tune in and watch this show regularly, something that few others can lay claim to.

The characters on the show were really what made it stand out. Each episode was about mundane, daily things, but the characters navigating their way through them is what ultimately hooked people and kept them coming back for more. Love them or hate them, these characters helped make the show what it was.

No matter how great the characters on the show were, they still had their faults, leading each of them to have some truly awful moments.

People have sounded off about the characters and their worst moments on the show, and it's interesting to read about these moments without the context of the show or a laugh track to potentially lighten things up.

When dishing on Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Elaine character, one person hit two birds with one stone.

"Elaine kidnapped a dog and left it in the middle of nowhere. That was worse than anything she did at Peterman. Also destroying the soup Nazi's business," they wrote.

Another user plucked a solid moment to showcase the worst of George.

"George pushing children and old ladies out of his way and then slamming the door behind him in The Fire."

Discussions like this are endless, especially for a show like Seinfeld, where the characters were notoriously awful at times.

Naturally, this topic has reared its ugly head at Jerry, who had more than his fair share of bad moments.

So, what is the worst thing that Jerry did while on the show? Well, if one fan is to be believed, then it's an infamous moment featuring a forbidden slice of cake.

"Season Two, Episode Nine, “The Deal”. Jerry Seinfeld steals Elaine’s roommate’s cake from the fridge. He asks Elaine if it belongs to her. She says it belongs to her roommate. Knowing this, he takes a single bite, then sets it down and goes home. I know Jerry isn’t always the nicest guy, but these are the actions of a lunatic," the Reddit user wrote.

We've got to give credit where it's due, because this is an excellent pick for his worst moment. It's something that a sane person wouldn't dream of doing, and yet, he went ahead and did it.

Turns out, that user wasn't the only person who thought this was a terrible moment of his.

"We literally watched this episode an hour ago and had a discussion about what an asshole move it was. Why only eat a bite? Why leave it on the counter? All of it was ridiculous," another user agreed.

In that same thread, other folks shared some of his most infamous moments.

"Calling in a bomb threat to Yankee stadium," someone wrote.

This was also an excellent pick. It's all fictional, but it was still a moment that left fans at home completely stunned.

Jerry had some truly awful moments, but clearly, this one takes the cake, so to speak.
