Playing the role of Sheldon on 'The Big Bang Theory' was no easy task for Jim Parsons. Most of his lines seemed impossible to blurt out for the average human. Yet, Jim managed to make it work, in large part thanks to flash cards and ballet.
His biggest focus was on memorizing what was written, he admitted that making Sheldon likable was not on his agenda, that was more because of the writing.
"Sheldon can be a pain in the a– sometimes. At the same time, I try not to make too much of keeping him ‘likable.’ That’s not really my concern. One, that’s in the writing, and, two, I don’t think it always matters. I think it’s okay to have a character who the audience gets a little irritated at sometimes. That’s just fine. But a couple of times I have to take a couple of swats at it, which I guess is why we have rehearsal, and it’s part of being an actor."
Despite his amazing connection to the character, Parsons still struggled with certain scenes and that would lead to pure gold in terms of outtakes. A memorable candidate as one of the better bloopers featured Parsons trying to get through his "Stone Paper Scissors Lizard Spock" line below.
However, fans agreed that there was another blooper between Sheldon and Amy that was impossible to beat.
Jim Parsons Couldn't Keep It Together During His Spanking Scene With Mayim Bialik
"Shamy" had some epic bloopers together during their run on 'The Big Bang Theory'. Bialik and Parsons couldn't keep it together on a few occasions, and that includes moments during their 'Fun with Flags' segment, along with the episode that saw Sheldon take care of Amy when she was sick.
However, the episode that might stand alone as the absolute best featured Sheldon giving Amy a spanking... just reading about the scenario is enough to make any fan of the show smile.
The two went through several takes, with Parsons laughing each time after his spank. Ultimately, we can see that Parsons felt bad about laughing so many times, apologizing to Bialik about breaking so many times.
The duo had more than a few memorable bloopers which can be seen above. As one might expect, the moments between the two went viral, receiving over one million views on YouTube. Fans had a lot to say about their classic outtakes.

He's trying his best to make it not awkward, and making sure she's okay with what's happening at all times. Like that's real goals right there."
