The world was stunned to hear the devastating news that DMX had suffered a catastrophic heart attack, and were even more devastated to learn that it was the result of an overdose. Hundreds of fans held vigil by surrounding his hospital and showing their undying love and support for the legendary rapper. Celebrities flocked to social media to spread words of love and concern, and to share prayers for his recovery, but sadly, at the age of just 50 years old, the world lost another music icon.

Among the many celebrities that have mentioned his name in recent days is Bhad Bhabie, but she referenced the late, great DMX in a manner that has many fans questioning her true intentions.

Bhad Bhabie shared her Bestie video, in which DMX made an appearance, but was this a shoutout to a fallen friend, or an attempt at self-promotion?

Bhad Bhabie's Bestie Video

Bhad Bhabie released Bestie in 2019, and the song and video were marketed as a partnership with Kodak Black. In true Bhad Bhabie form, she had a few tricks up her sleeve and didn't end up delivering the video that fans had expected of her.

Instead, her video depicted the obvious absence of Kodak Black, and the sudden and unexpected appearance of DMX, instead.

Within the video, Bhad Bhabie and DMX engage in a killing spree.

Two days after his death, Bhad Bhabie posted the video on her Instagram page alongside the caption; "#ripdmx 😢😢"

Fans Have Questions

Is Bhad Bhabie truly mourning the death of DMX? Were there no words she could find to portray her emotions for the fallen star?

So many celebrities had posted heart-warming messages of condolence and had shared meaningful memories of the star. Not Danielle Bregoli. She opted instead to tell the world that they shared a video together, ultimately putting the spotlight on her video and garnering the attention of millions of fans... attention that is put on her.

Comments to her page revealed two different perspectives on the matter.

Some fans wrote in to say: "That’s sweet of you to post this 😢 i bet it was a pleasure working with him," and "At least you got to meet a legend Dani. Hope you’re doing ok, stay strong and stay positive!! RIP DMX."

Others were far less convinced her intentions were to mourn. They chimed in with; "Where was this when he was alive!" and "Who tryna get added to a gc, and "You trying to promote your song off of dmx dying is so lame 🗣"
