More than two decades after Freaks And Geeks’ untimely cancellation, the series remains one of the most beloved cult classics of all time. Created by Paul Feig, Judd Apatow served as executive producer and launched multiple young actors to Hollywood super-stardom. January 15th, 2019, Linda Cardellini appeared on talk show Busy Tonight. She and host Busy Phillips, friend, and former Freaks and Geeks costar. The two reflected on their time on the show, and Phillips asked Cardellini if she took anything from set, to which the actress replied the iconic green cargo jacket.
15 The Show Interrupted A Lot Of The Actors' College Plans
Once cast in Freaks and Geeks, many of the young actors, like Jason Segel, chose to join the cast over pursuing college. Busy Phillips and Linda Cardellini dropped out of their university program. One of the younger cast members, Seth Rogen, dropped out of high school, lied about completing correspondence school, and wrote Superbad.

Though all the actors played high schoolers, John Francis Daley was 14, as was his character, Sam Weir. Linda Cardellini, who played his 16-year-old sister Lindsay, was 24 when shooting the pilot.
