When Friends debut in 1994, no one expected it to become the cultural phenomenon that it was and is. Even now, 27 years later, Friends continues to be one of the most iconic sitcoms of all time.

Perhaps part of the cult appeal of the show nearly two decades later lies with the cast of the show. While every character played their own role in the show, some would argue that Joey stole the show more often than the others. After all, who doesn't love a kind-hearted, food-obsessed, soap opera actor.

10 'The One Where No One's Ready' (Season 3, Episode 2)

"The One Where No One's Ready" is arguably one of the best episodes of the third season of Friends. Each character has their own moment to shine, but Joey really brings the comedy.

In the episode, Joey and Chandler are at war after Joey was tricked into eating chicken fat from a cup. The war escalates to the two best friends fighting over a chair in Monica's apartment. After learning that Chandler has all his underwear, Joey leaves the apartment only to come back wearing several layers of Chandler's clothes to get back at him.

9 'The One In Vegas' (Season 5, Episode 23 & 24)

The cast of Friends didn't travel too much during its ten-year run but they did get the chance to visit Las Vegas during the season five two-part finale.

In this episode, Joey finds himself working at Caesar's Palace after the movie he was going to film is put on hiatus. Embarrassed to tell his friends the truth, Joey pretends he's still working on the movie. This plan backfires when the gang shows up to Vegas and finds Joey working at the hotel. During the second part of the episode, Joey discovers a new career path when he finds his "hand twin."

8 'The One With Joey's Porsche' (Season 6, Episode 5)

Out of all the friends, Joey is definitely the one who is more attuned to the finer things in life. Unfortunately, being a struggling actor doesn't always help him acquire those things.

During this season six episode, Joey gets a chance to enjoy the finer things when he finds keys to a Porsche at Central Perk. At first, he tries to find the owner but when he notices he gets extra attention when he stands in front of the car he gives up on that mission.

7 'The One With Joey's Fridge' (Season 6, Episode 19)

Joey really stole the show during the sixth season of Friends, especially in "The One With Joey's Fridge."

In this episode, Joey's worst nightmare comes true when his fridge breaks. Still, out of work, Joey can't afford to replace the fridge so he asks his friends for help. While Joey tries desperately to convince his friends to help him he eventually gives up and decides to eat all the food in the fridge before it goes bad.

6 'The One With The Proposal: Part 1' (Season 6, Episode 24)

While there's no denying "The One With The Proposal" is one of the best Monica and Chandler episodes of the series, Joey also has an iconic role in the episode. Especially during part 1.

When Joey attends a charity event with Rachel, he participates in a silent auction thinking the object is to guess how much the items are. Joey ends up winning a yacht which he's excited about until Rachel explains that he has to pay for it. The two spend the rest of the episode trying to convince the next highest bidder to buy the boat from Joey but in the end, Joey decides he wants to keep the yacht for himself.

5 'The One With Joey's Award' (Season 7, Episode 18)

Joey's best moments happen when he means well but find himself ill-prepared for situations. That's exactly what happens in this season seven episode.

After years of acting, Joey finally gets nominated for a Soapie Award and he's more than excited. Joey spends all his free time practicing his acceptance speech and his "gracious loser face." However, when Joey loses the award all his training goes out the window and he ends up delivering his acceptance speech while on stage presenting an entirely different award.

4 'The One Where Joey Dates Rachel' (Season 8, Episode 12)

Of all the relationships on Friends, one of the most highly contested was Joey and Rachel's relationship during the eighth season. Love it or hate it, there's no denying that the relationship did give fans some of the best Joey moments.

In this episode, Joey decides to take Rachel out on a date since she hasn't been out much since she became a mom. The two decide to have a little fun and show each other all their secret moves. It's all fun and games until Joey realizes he might actually have feelings for Rachel which she doesn't pick up on.

3 'The One With Joey's Interview' (Season 8, Episode 19)

When shows are on air for so long they occasionally do episodes that rely heavily on flashbacks and clips to prior episodes. While Friends is no exception, they made their clip episode extra hilarious by centering it on Joey.

In the episode, Joey is being interviewed by a writer for Soap Opera Digest. Afraid he's going to mess up again, he asks his friends to be at Central Perk when the interview happens so they can interrupt him if he says something wrong.

2 'The One With The Mugging' (Season 9, Episode 15)

A lot of the best moments of Friends happened in small physical comedy moments. 'The One With The Mugging" is one of those episodes full of physical comedy, especially for Joey.

In the episode, Joey lands an audition with a legendary play director. The audition doesn't go well but a producer asks him to try again later. When Joey returns he really has to pee but the director won't let him go so he delivers his performance with a full bladder. Joey ends up nailing the performance and is now convinced he acts the best when he has to pee.

1 'The One Where The Stripper Cries' (Season 10, Episode 11)

Even when Friends was winding down, the writers never stopped bringing the funny. In fact, some of the best episodes of the show happen in the last season like "The One Where The Stripper Cries."

While there's a lot going on in this episode, Joey steals the show when he appears on the game show "Pyramid." Paired up with an ordinary person, Joey tries his best to win the game but he ends up losing every round even though his questions are extremely easy.
