Friends has gone down in history as one of the most iconic sitcoms of all time. With an iconic ensemble cast, it's no surprise that each of the six friends had their own shining moments throughout the show's ten-season run.
Monica Geller is definitely the mom friend of the bunch but that didn't stop her from getting herself in some crazy situations over the years. Sure, she might like her apartment to be in pristine condition at all times but her life can be a bit messy, but that's why fans love her. Even if Monica isn't someone's favorite character, they will agree that she had some pretty iconic episodes.
10 The One Where No One's Ready (Season 3, Episode 2)
While "The One Where No One's Ready" revolves around Ross trying to get himself and his friends to his museum's function on time and Rachel trying to find the perfect outfit to wear, it's Monica who truly steals the show in the episode.
Noticing her answering machine is showing a message, Monica listens to it and is surprised to find that it's a message from her ex-boyfriend Richard. The only problem is, Monica can't tell if this message was left before or after they broke up. To get to the bottom of it Monica calls Richard and leaves her own voicemail much to the dismay of her friends. This starts a painfully awkward trend of Monica leaving trying to erase the message while leaving more embarrassing messages behind.
9 The One With The Jellyfish (Season 4, Episode 1)
Season four of Friends kicked off with a bang picking up where season 3 left off. It also kicks off what is arguably Monica's best season of the entire series.
In "The One With The Jellyfish," Monica spends the day at the beach with Chandler and Joey which ultimately leads to her being stung by a jellyfish. Everyone knows the only way to cure a jellyfish sting is urine but peeing on herself proves to be difficult for Monica. And when Joey gets "stage fright" it's Chandler who comes to Monica's rescue creating even more awkward tension between these two.
8 The One With Phoebe's Uterus (Season 4, Episode 11)
It might seem odd that an episode with Phoebe's name in the title has landed on the list of Monica Geller's best episodes but there is no denying the fact that it deserves to be here.
In the episode, Chandler enlists the help of Monica and Rachel to help feel less insecure about sleeping with Joey's ex Kathy for the first time. In true best friend fashion, Monica gives Chandler a lesson in pleasure by teaching him out the seven erogenous zones. Of course, this ends with Monica saying "seven" repeatedly thus giving us one of her best moments of all time.
7 The One With The Embryos (Season 4, Episode 12)
Another Monica season four classic is the episode "The One With The Embryos." This time, fans get a glimpse into just how competitive Monica can be and why she never backs down from a challenge.
In the episode, Monica and Rachel team up against Joey and Chandler in an epic trivia game that Ross has created for them. After a neck and neck competition, the two teams are tied and must go head to head in a lighting round. Ever competitive, Monica decides to put her apartment on the line to prove how confident she feels about the lighting round. In the end, Monica and Rachel lose after being unable to name Chandler's job title.
6 The One With All The Rugby (Season 4, Episode 15)
After losing her apartment to Chandler and Joey, Monica and Rachel are forced to move into the boys' old apartment across the hall. In true Monica fashion, she wastes no time decorating the apartment to reach her perfectionist standards.
However, Monica hits a snag when she stumbles upon a switch at the apartment that doesn't seem to do anything. When Joey is no help, Monica's quest to find out what the switch does leads her to city hall where she gets her hands on the electrical plans for the building. In the end, Monica never finds out what the switch does but the audience does.
5 The One With Rachel's Sister (Season 6, Episode 13)
If there is one thing Monica hates more than a messy apartment, it's feeling week. That's why Monica tries so hard to convince everyone around her that she's not sick in the season 6 episode "The One With Rachel's Sister."
Determine to prove she's not sick, Monica sets out to get Chandler to sleep with her. She spends most of the episode trying to seduce Chandler in different ways. In the end, Monica woos Chandler to bed by rubbing vaporub on her chest in front of him.
4 The One With The Cheap Wedding Dress (Season 7, Episode 17)
Every woman gets a little bit crazy when it comes to wedding planning but Monica's bridezilla personality takes things to a whole other level.
In "The One With The Cheap Wedding Dress," Monica tries on a designer gown at an expensive store to make sure it's the one before she attempts to buy it at a discount store that's having a huge sale that weekend. Monica recruits Rachel and Phoebe to help her find the dress at the discount store and together the three are equipped with whistles and sent into battle their way through bridezilla hell. Who could forget Monica tackling another bride to the ground after they reach for the same dress.
3 The One Where Rachel Tells (Season 8, Episode 3)
While Monica was definitely a bit of bridezilla planning her wedding, she somehow becomes even more of a bridezilla after the wedding now that she has nothing to look forward to.
Monica's frustrations about no longer being a bride get the better of her until she realizes that she and Chandler can use the fact that they're on their honeymoon to her advantage. Of course, this plan turns south when Monica and Chandler miss out on all the free upgrades to another newlywed couple.
2 The One With The Secret Closet (Season 8, Episode 14)
One of Monica's defining traits is the fact that she values cleanliness and orderliness. In fact, she regularly lashes out at her friends when they try to clean or organize her apartment on her behalf.
Knowing all this makes the reveal that Monica has a secret junk closet all the more rewarding. In the episode, Chandler becomes obsessed with learning what's behind the closet door Monica has never let him see. When Monica comes home to find the door open, she is devastated that Chandler has found out about her messy secret. However, Chandler finds its endearing as do we; after all, everyone needs to be a little bit disorganized from time to time.
1 The One In Barbados (Season 9, Episode 23 & 24)
The two-part season 9 finale has gone down in history as being one of the best Friends episodes of all time, but it also is one of Monica's best episodes of all time too.
Monica immediately steals the show when the gang lands in Barbados thanks to her hair which is having a negative reaction to the Caribbean humidity. Every time Monica appears on the screen her hair appears to be bigger which adds to the laughs. As if that's not iconic enough, the second part of the episode has Monica facing off against Phoebe's boyfriend Mike in an epic ping-pong game that won't end.
