Gene Simmons Admitted He Hasn't Been The Best Partner To Shannon Tweed

Gene opened up alongside Us Magazine, discussing his past regrets. "In the interest of full disclosure, I have been married for more than five or six years. For 29 years … I was a jackass,” Simmons told Us. “And it’s a family show and I don’t wanna say anything that moved. I don’t wanna say that. And the astonishing thing about women is … I don’t know why, but you forgive our trespasses over and over, every single day. Guys wouldn’t do that.”
“I believe that women see the big picture. For one thing, you give life. We just work here. We can’t do anything. We can’t ask for directions, we can’t do that … We don’t understand the emotional component. We’re just not designed that way.”

Shannon Tweed Didn't Want To Hear Any Mention Of An Open Relationship
The interview in question took place years ago on Canadian television, as Tweed and Simmons sat down alongside host George Stroumboulopoulos. The interview started off on a hilarious note, with Tweed side-stepping Simmons and doing the turn of the couch to avoid him.
The interview basically discussed their time together on the reality show, and how hard it is to stay transparent while allowing cameras into their lives constantly.

"It makes me angry," Tweed responded. "We don't have an open relationship and I don't want people thinking there's an open relationship. Unless someone comes forward and says they had a relationship (pointing at Gene)."
In typical Gene style, he was making light of the situation, saying "Why don't I just kill my career now." He would then state "This morning when I woke up I had two hot nurses attending," only to be cut off by Tweed who stated she doesn't mind his sarcastic stories, as long people don't believe it.
