The Beatles, undoubtedly the biggest band in history, have been covered for decades. Fans know a lot about the group, including obscure facts like their attempt at a Lord of the Rings movie, their banishment from a country, and even facts about their lyrics. Simply put, no artists have been dissected quite like The Beatles have.

What has not been talked about as much is their time as solo artists. Each member had success on their own, with some members even cranking out classics. Despite selling millions of albums individually, there is only one member of the group who gets eternal bragging rights for having the biggest solo album of the bunch.

Let's take a look at The Beatles and the member with the biggest solo album.

The Beatles Are The Biggest Band Of All Time

In the history of rock music, there has simply never been another band as big or as impactful as The Beatles. The Fab Four made their debut back in the 1960s, and during their time together, they were able to conquer the world of pop culture and completely reshape the music industry with their music and a number of other technical breakthroughs.

Comprised of Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, the band was an unstoppable force during their time together. Yes, there were plenty of great bands before and after The Beatles, but to this day, not a single band has had the same type of impact as the guys from Liverpool.

Even in the streaming era that we currently live in, the band still owns some of the most impressive records in music history, which is incredible when considering that these records have stood for decades.

Eventually, the group reached the finish line together, which both devastated fans and opened up doors to incredible songwriting opportunities for each member.

They All Had Solo Success

After the group disbanded, each member would go on to release solo music. Needless to say, longtime fans of the group were incredibly excited to hear what it was going to be like for each member to do their own thing. As crushed as fans were that the group had separated, there was a sense of relief that each member was going to be bringing something new to the table.

As fans got to see, each member of the group was able to shine in their solo endeavors, and all four members of The Beatles had a ton of solo success. This usually came by simply making their own music, but in certain cases, like with Wings and The Traveling Wilburys, the members ended up in different bands that also found success.

Despite the immense solo success that each member had, the truth is that none of them were able to re-create the same magic that they had while they were making Beatles records. Nevertheless, solo success was inevitable for the guys, but only one member of the Beatles can lay claim to having the biggest solo album of the bunch.

George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass" The The Biggest Solo Beatles Album

In what may come as a surprise to some, George Harrison is the Beatles member that had the biggest solo album. Harrison's grand work, All Things Must Pass, was a powerhouse of an album that kickstarted what developed into a truly spectacular solo career for the former Beatles guitarist.

The massive album, which featured nearly 30 tracks, was a masterpiece that was compiled by the talented songwriter. Towards the end of their time together, Harrison was developing into one of the better songwriters in the group, and some tracks that appeared on this album were actually pitched by Harrison to the members of the group. Their decision to pass on some of these songs ultimately made All Things Must Pass an even better album.

To date, this is considered perhaps the best Beatles solo album, and it has received numerous accolades. It is frequently cited as one of the greatest albums of all time, and it has even been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Thanks to being certified 6x platinum by the RIAA in the United States, Harrison, who was known as the Quiet Beatle, lays claim to having the most successful Beatles solo album in history.
