Susan Noles may have become a reality TV star after her time on The Golden Bachelor, but her dating life isn’t what people might expect. She recently talked to PEOPLE and shared an update on her life after the show, and she surprised fans by revealing that her romantic life was not as exciting as people thought.
Susan has not been getting as much attention from men as people had warned her, but she's not bothered by it. She's focusing on her career and is grateful for all the experiences the reality show allowed her to have.
Susan Noles On Her Dating Life After Golden Bachelor
When Susan Noles joined The Golden Bachelor, people said her dating life would look a lot different than it does in reality.
“Everybody said, ‘Oh, you're going to get so many DMs and men are going to be hitting you up.’ It does not happen,” Susan laughed. “I don't know if I'm too old or I'm too big of a personality, but yeah, no.”
She’s not in a serious relationship, but she did say she’s been casually seeing someone for a few months. She said she met a man named Michael at Marshalls and they have been seeing each other on and off.
“He's a nice person and we hang out from time to time,” she added. “I don't think it's anything crazy serious, but it's good.”
However, she said that “the dating world other than that is zero.”
This is a completely different experience from the one Joan Vassos had after joining The Golden Bachelorette. Joan said she got “inundated” with messages from men after the reality show, but the attention wasn’t respectful or wanted.
"I got d*** pics," she revealed. "And I got people with foot fetishes. They wanted me to send them pictures of my feet and would pay me for it. One person offered to buy all the shoes that I wore on Golden Bachelor. It was scary.”
Looking at it this way, it’s probably better that Susan managed to stay under the radar.
Susan Is Grateful For Her Experience On The Golden Bachelor
Susan Noles isn't too worried about her dating life. She's happy with her casual relationship, and frankly, with how busy she is, it's probably good for her. She has her wedding officiant business and her QVC show, Susan Noles NOW, and she's incredibly happy with how everything is going.
“I am so grateful every morning that I wake up,” she gushed. “I'm riding the wave and I'm welcoming every new thing that happens to me. I just did another show that'll be out maybe in the fall, maybe January, on Hulu that I can't say too much about, so you'll see more of me there. I love the experiences that I'm having and the people that I'm meeting.”
She credits The Golden Bachelor for giving her the opportunities to build the life she wanted, as she knows a lot of things wouldn't be possible without the reality TV show's platform.
“It opened so many doors for me, and if you know me, you know I got my foot right in it,” she said.
Susan is still in touch with people from the franchise. In fact, she's going to spend some time with Joan Vassos and other Golden Bachelor alums when they come to visit her in Delaware.
“We're going to spend about four or five days together here, so I'm ordering blowup beds because I have four bedrooms and I can't accommodate everybody,” she shared. “But I'm excited about having everybody. They all know about my QVC. Everybody's tuning in, so it's really fun.”
