The Golden Bachelorette came to a conclusion on Wednesday, as inaugural lead Joan Vassos was faced with a choice of two remaining suitors: Guy Gansert, and Chock Chapple.
Wait, Did You Say "Chock"? Yes. Like the more common "Chuck," "Chock" is also a diminutive form of "Charles" — and likely a very irritating name to have to provide for your Starbucks cup.
In the third-to-last episode, Joan traveled to Tahiti with Guy, Chock, and Pascal Ibgui, but Pascal shockingly self-eliminated after admitting he was unsure he could fall in love.
Last week's pre-finale episode was The Golden Bachelorette's "the Men Tell All," and it highlighted one of the more unique elements of this specific entry in the franchise.
It may be hard to believe, but The Bachelor franchise began all the way back in 2002, and as it continued and branched out into the "Bachelor Nation" of today's reality TV landscape, friction between competing contestants came to be expected each season.
The Golden Bachelorette notably bucked that trend — Joan's suitors quickly and sincerely hit it off with one another in a truly remarkable way, and as we previously reported, contestant Gregg Lassen said after his elimination:
"I'm in love with half of the guys in the house, so when she was dating other people, I was like, 'Well, that's one of my new best friends.' So I was just happy for them."
Whether it was the obvious maturity gap between franchises or something else, it was consistent and sweet, and in turn, the entire dynamic was broadly respectful and kind.
The finale brought us back to Tahiti, where Joan eventually made her choice — and if you've yet to watch it, why are you reading this? Spoilers are coming up next!

Golden Bachelorette's Guy Gansert Explains His Past Restraining Order, Calls It "An Unfortunate Situation"
The "Golden Bachelorette" contestant has responded to shocking allegations from his ex-wife.
'I Love You In A Different Way'
Presumably, some fans of The Bachelorette carried over to The Golden Bachelorette, and the former had a notoriously messy and unpleasant finale for Jenn Tran's season.
Like Jenn, Joan went on final dates with Guy and Chock, and both men were expected to meet her family.
However, Chock said "I love you" to Joan, and while she did not initially say it back, she then decided she needed to end things with Guy.
Joan visited his bungalow and told a crestfallen Guy:
My heart belongs to somebody else now ... This is the last thing I wanted. I'm so sorry.
In the studio, Joan and Guy hugged it out, and Joan assured him that it was "absolutely nothing [he] did."
Heading back to Tahiti, Joan met up with Chock the day after ending things with Guy, and confessed that she reciprocated his feelings:
"I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to wake up next to you in the morning, and I want to kiss you when I go to bed at night."
There was only one thing left to do, and Chock got down on one knee.
The following exchange ensued:
[Chock]: "I've been waiting forever to do this ... Joan, will you marry me?"
[Joan]: "Of course I'll marry you."
Unlike The Bachelorette's finale, fans of The Golden Bachelorette were happy to learn that Joan and Chock are still together — and now they're very eager to find out who, if anyone, will be the next Golden Bachelor.
