Gordon Ramsay has a controversial history to say the least. The chef tells it how it is, at least in his opinion, and he isn't afraid to hurt feelings along the way. Rita Ora knows all about that as she was banned from one of the chef's restaurants.

In the following, we're going to take a closer look at Ramsay's history of dealing with interviews. At times things did not go as planned and that holds true today, as we'll reveal with multiple examples both then and now.

We're also going to take a look back at the time Gordon Ramsay completely walked out of an interview after he was asked about getting Botox done on multiple occasions.

Yes, both then and now Gordon Ramsay is known for controversial interviews. It is still taking place today, as BBC had to issue an apology last year for their guest swearing on the show.

"We hope you enjoyed tonight's show as much as we did. Apologies for Gordon's language slip up at the end. Take care, and we'll catch you tomorrow," the tweet writes.

The same took place this year in 2023 when Ramsay dropped another F-bomb, this time during a morning radio show that took place at 8:40 in the morning. “I’m so f****** excited," Ramsay said at the start of the interview.

The host joked about Ramsay already swearing early on in the interview, to which Ramsay replied that he had been given the green light by the host - which of course was not true.

Perhaps Ramsay's worst interview moment took place alongside Sofia Vergara on Jay Leno's Tonight Show. Fans argued that Ramsay took things too far with his comments alongside the actress.

"I don't scream like that in real life," Sofia said. Gordon would respond by saying, "only in the bedroom." The comment was met with a gasp by the audience and certainly made things awkward.

Gordon Ramsay Ended Up Walking Out His Interview When The Topic Of Botox Was Brought Up Again

During his stop in Australia, Gordon Ramsay made the rounds on television, which included a morning interview alongside Today. He was speaking out of Sydney, and the interview started off with a discussion about Ramsay's harsh language. However, the interview would take a twist when the guest was questioned about taking a trip to the US.

The host asked, "Can I just clear something up, there was a report here a couple of weeks ago saying you'd been in the States and came back looking refreshed. They were saying you got botox."

Clearly unimpressed, Ramsay responds by saying, "You're a smart girl. Do you actually think I got botox? Do you think I need my money back? Are you stupid?" The host would continue on by complimenting Ramsay on his look despite the fact that he works in a kitchen.

Towards the end of the interview, Ramsay's having fun with the hosts but ends up walking out of the chat when botox is brought up once again.

"Does he look like he's got botox," the interviewer asks his colleague, only for Ramsay to laugh it off and walk out of the interview for good.

Gordon Ramsay Claims His Personality Is Due To Passion, And Not Anything Else

Gordon Ramsay's personality has been challenged in the past, with some even suggesting that he takes drugs given his high energy, and aggressive ways.

However, Gordon was quick to turn down that notion, mentioning that he's all about passion over anything else.

“I get incredibly upset when everybody thinks I’m on it because you’re boisterous, you’re loud and you’re excited. That’s just passion,” Ramsay said with Yahoo.

“Pure passion and that’s no different to being in a dressing room or changing room at half time, 2-0 down and you’ve got to get your s*** together in the next 45 minutes. I got upset when everyone thought that rock’n’roll status in the industry was dependent on this powder and it was absolute nonsense.”

Ramsay would go on to reveal that his circumstances from his younger days are a major reason for his drive.

“I just wanted to better myself and get out of a situation that was unfortunate. I had grown up on 15 council estates.”

He continued, “I set out to change and give my family the security and everything that I had wished for at their age. I never expected that level of success, like any success it's worked for.”

Like him or not, Ramsay was able to create quite the career, and that holds true today.
