It has been 20 years since the very first Harry Potter movie, and fans have loved watching the careers of the Harry Potter stars grow and develop beyond the much-loved franchise.
Some have gone on to have great success and continue to act today, whilst others have focused on other endeavors and zoned into their personal lives. With most of them approaching or just past 30, some of the cast have gotten married and settled down, such as Scarlett Byrne, who played Slytherin student, and Draco's pal Pansy Parkinson.
Even though Scarlett's role was relatively small and only present for the last three films, her part in the Harry Potter movies has still had a lasting impression on fans, who became obsessed in 2020 with who she was married to.
Scarlett also garnered an unlikely fan through her breakthrough role, who after five years of chasing would eventually become her husband.
Where Has Scarlett Byrne Been Since Harry Potter?
Scarlett has done a couple of things since the Harry Potter movies, such as appearing in The Vampire Diaries and being photographed for Playboy. She was also cast as Brittany in Lake Placid: The Final Chapter and has been a regular cast member in Falling Skies.
In August 2020, Scarlett became a mother to a little girl called Betsy, named after Cooper's great-grandmother. The couple is incredibly happy together and are loving married life... But how did the shocking and unlikely pairing begin?
How Did Scarlett Byrne Meet Cooper Hefner?
Cooper Hefner first locked eyes with Scarlett Byrne thanks to Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. As soon as he saw her in the movie, he knew she was the one for him.
Being close friends with Scout Willis for most of his life, and knowing she was attending the same university as Emma Watson, Cooper decided that this connection could be his chance to speak with the actress he had the hots for.
Cooper never gave up. For five years, the pair courted on Facebook, and finally, Scarlett said yes to a date. Their first date was in Germany where the couple went for ice cream.
In 2015, Cooper proposed to Scarlett, and the couple was married in 2019. Cooper asked Scarlett's father for permission to wed his daughter with "a massive yellow diamond."
Scarlett Byrne And Cooper Hefner Had An Intimate Wedding
That, coupled with being a multi-millionaire AND the son of Hugh Hefner, you'd expect Cooper and Scarlett to have had a humongous and lavish wedding. But what really happened was a very modest affair followed by celebrations and heart-warming social media posts.
Cooper Hefner is Hugh's youngest child, and must have had an interesting life before meeting Scarlett, growing up nextdoor to the Playboy Mansion and becoming an adult that would work for the Playboy company.
The Hefners Aren't All-In With Playboy
Cooper left the company after college due to falling outs with the CEO. He would later return as the chief creative officer and became the driving force to make sure Playboy became about inclusivity by having a transgender playmate on the cover in 2017.
But after that huge moment with Playboy, surprisingly, Cooper stepped down as chief of global partnerships. Now, his life couldn't be more different from the life his father led, even if he tried.
Even though fans can't believe who 'Pansy Parkinson' ended up marrying, they are also super stoked to see that the Hefners are happy.
Fans were also excited to see Scarlett dancing with Harry Potter co-star Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) in 2018's season of Dancing With The Stars. Scarlett joined Evanna for trios week, and Evanna went on to come third in the competition.
Scarlett has still continued to be cast in things, most recently being cast in 2019 as Bronwyn in Marvel's Runaways.
But right now, it's about family for Scarlett.
The Hefner Family Keeps A Low Profile
Life seems pretty perfect for the Hefners and Scarlett seems to have found herself a great guy who is considered a "sterling example of decency, hard work, and entrepreneurship."
He's even served as a reservist in the U.S. Air Force and now teaches at California's Chapman College. It seems he will be pursuing a career in politics as he is hoping to become the California Senate this year.
Being a seemingly decent guy and family man, he sounds like that kind of person that American politics needs!
As well as having a picture-perfect, seemingly modest life together, they are comfortable financially too. Due to working hard since college and having a couple of start-ups, Cooper's net worth is estimated to be somewhere between $5 - $10 million.
As if things couldn't be better for Cooper and Scarlett Hefner, their beautiful family is still growing; the couple announced in November 2021 that they will be having twins!
The Hefners will be expecting the two new additions to their family at the beginning of 2022. Who knows what else is next for this adorable yet unlikely couple!
