Fans are pointing out that there are lyrics in the song's bridge that seemingly point to Harry's relationship, like, "Go home, get ahead, light-speed internet / I don't wanna talk about the way that it was / Leave America, two kids follow her." There's no doubt that Harry is singing about Olivia leaving the US to spend time with him in London.
During his Heart Breakfast interview, Harry did admit that As It Was is about his personal life. He said, "I try and write from personal experience, for I'd say almost, almost everything." However, he didn't explicitly mention Olivia, as the couple is pretty hush-hush about their relationship.
The artist also explained that since the release of his last album, Fine Line, back in 2019, he "had a lot of time" for self-reflection due to the pandemic, and, according to Harry, this allowed him to make Harry's House from a whole new perspective.

He spoke about the experience of making the song in an interview with SiriusXM, saying, "I also feel really happy at the moment. I feel like it's the first time I feel like I'm kind of making music and putting music out from a real place of kind of personal freedom."
Then he talked about how his mindset has influenced his songwriting, adding, "That is a really liberating place to be kind of creating from and now putting [my As It Was single] out. So, the process for me has been easily the most joyous of anything that I've kind of experienced so far while making music." Fans couldn't help but notice that Harry made an Olivia Wilde reference in his song As It Was, which could easily mean that Olivia is one of the people contributing to his happiness.
