Certain fans of Harry Styles don’t seem too thrilled at the idea that actress and filmmaker Olivia Wilde is reportedly dating the singer.

After trying to “cancel” Wilde over her supposedly controversial statements to the LGBTQ+ community, some on social media are blaming her after a possibly fake intimated video leaked. Confused? You’re not alone.

One Direction Fans Try To Blame Olivia Wilde For Intimate Video Leak

Earlier this year, some in the wider Harry Styles fandom tried to imply that Wilde invalidated the experiences of the queer community.

After those claims were disputed by fans of Wilde, now the issue has been taken onto another level. An intimate video of the actress (possibly a deep fake) started circulating online, some have been trying to blame this on her.

Twitter was flooded with negative comments from people claiming to have seen the video in question. Although it doesn’t exist a federal law regarding non-consensual pornography in the US, several states have passed laws prohibiting either the production or distribution.

Spreading revenge porn material is a gross violation of privacy, and the victim should never be blamed for the content of said material.

Twitter Reminded Everyone That Spreading Intimate Videos Of Someone Is Wrong

While not everyone was sympathetic towards Wilde — provided that video isn’t fake — luckily her fans were ready to shut down the trolls.

“DONOTSHARESOMEONEELSESPRIVATESEXUALVIDEOS

You are spreading revenge porn! You have no chance with Harry Styles! Leave Olivia Wilde alone you f***ing freak!!” one fan commented.

“what is it w ppl hating on olivia wilde for smtn she had no control over ??? she had her private videos leaked and ur first reaction was to shame her for it ??? do u not realise how f***ed up that is ???” one Twitter user wrote.

“the only issue with the Olivia Wilde video is the fact it was leaked. That s**t is totally normal, don’t make people think it’s something to be embarrassed about,” was another comment.

Finally, one user reminded everyone that spreading intimated videos of someone isn’t right, regardless of how you feel towards that person.

“No matter your opinion on her. You wouldn’t like it if your video was being spread around. Please have some morals and do NOT share the videos of Olivia Wilde,” they wrote.

After her directorial debut Booksmart, Wilde has recently wrapped filming her sophomore feature, psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling. She directs and stars alongside Styles, Florence Pugh, Kiki Layne, and Chris Pine.
