Chris Hemsworth got huge for his role in Thor: Love and Thunder... bigger than we've ever seen before. He wasn't eating chicken and broccoli, however, the actor himself revealed he'd never be able to repeat the diet, which consisted of ten meals per day.RELATED - It Takes Eating Every Two-Hours To Look Like Thor For Chris HemsworthAs we'll reveal, Henry Cavill uses a different approach and one that doesn't cater to ten meals per day. We'll take a look at his diet, along what he does to keep in shape when it's gym time.

Chris Hemsworth Gained The Most Amount Of Muscle For Thor: Love And Thunder

Eating 4,500 calories is no easy task and that's especially true when you're breaking it up into ten meals per day. In order to properly digest his food, Hemsworth broke up the meals, it also helped to avoid sluggishness throughout the day. Although it was a good strategy, Hemsowrth admitted that the transformation this time around was not an easy one, especially compared to some of his prep for past roles.

"Each time I've played the character and put the muscle on and out the size on, and then lost it for something else and played another character, there's muscle memory, and I used to say it sort of got easier each time."

Hemsworth put on the most muscle he had ever achieved, but looking back, the actor called the process and exhausting one.

"It was just exhausting," Hemsworth said. "I don't know, maybe I'm getting old, but things just started to hurt more."

"This was particularly hard. I think because the target weight we aimed for was quite a ways above where I'd been before. It was a really fun exploration, but I don't know that I wanna get that big again," he discussed alongside Insider.

Not everyone in Hollywood uses the same approach, and that includes none other than Superman's Henry Cavill.

Henry Cavill Sticks To Four-Meals A Day While Prepping For Roles

Henry Cavill seems to use a different approach, and a major reason for it is time constrains. Cavill isn't eating ten meals a day and instead, he's opting for four meals a day, which includes breakfast, two lunches, and dinner. Before bed, Cavill will end off the night with a protein shake.

Alongside GQ, the actor discussed his dietary habits.

He starts with his breakfast, "One and a half scoops of a 100% grass-fed whey protein with a cup of oats and some berries and blend that up...The other part is an omelette with a bit of ham in there, and I think it's about six ounces of beef filet. I'll go on to meal two about three hours later, which is chicken and white rice with a side of curry sauce, because I like the flavour."

Meal three and four usual consists of the same elements, featuring protein and clean carbs, "Meal three is another three hours later and will be the same, but with brown rice. Then meal four will be, I think about four ounces of beef with sweet potato. I kind of like sweet potato fries because I'm not a huge fan of sweet potatoes."

Of course, this is just half the battle, as Cavill, like Hemsworth, also has to show up for training sessions.

Henry Cavill Varies His Intensity During Workouts, Depending On His Goal And Roles

When he's training for something like Superman, Cavill's training gets very intense. The actor is in the gym almost every day of the week. In terms of his approach, it is all about filling out, which requires a classic bodybuilding approach.

Ultimately, Cavill's training varies according to what he's trying to achieve, especially in terms of roles.

"The deeper I get into a job — if it's a hard job, time-intensive and taxing — I will request to my trainer to programme things differently. I'd be training four times a week instead of six and, on the fourth day, a really simple arm and shoulder workout...I'm not crawling out of the gym and thinking 'I need a nap immediately'".

Notably, when Cavill isn't preparing for a role, he's taking things easier in the gym and with his nutritional intake.
