According to dictionary.com, stature is the height of a human or animal being. It is also the level of accomplishment or development one has achieved. So if we're simply talking numbers, Kevin Hart is about a foot taller than Peter Dinklage.
In that same way, Kevin Hart also suffered a bite from the acting bug, beginning his career in 2002 in the sitcom, Undeclared which was created by Judd Apatow.
Slow Starts
While Hart started acting in 2002, he's no stranger to the stage. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Kevin started his stand-up comedy routine in small clubs, which didn't go as well as he'd hoped. He was in fact booed off the stage several times and even had a piece of chicken thrown at him, according to wikipedia.org.
Kevin wasn't one to let defeat get him down, however. He started entering comedy competitions across Massachusetts, and between his life events and the constant content about his height, Kevin found plenty of fodder to make his audience laugh. He landed his first breakout movie role as a main character in, Paper Soldiers.
Since that first show, Hart has made huge strides in both his acting and comedy careers starring in major films, TV shows and comedy specials to which he has amassed a net worth of close to $200 million as of 2020, according to wealthygorilla.com
Dealing With Achondroplasia
Like Kevin Hart, Peter Dinklage also had a slow start to his bustling career. However, Peter Dinklage has achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism in which the body is perfectly formed, except for the arms and legs. While he was determined that his small size would not affect his accomplishments, Dinklage has some troubles in his early years even having his limbs pulled to try to lengthen them, in a vain attempt to cure his condition. Obviously that didn't slow him down.
As time went on Peter became more and more confident in his body and acting became his passion. After graduating from high school, he went on to study and graduate from Bennington College where he earned a degree in drama and officially began his career.
Early Career Moves
In 1995, Peter starred in Living in Oblivion, which also starred Steve Buscemi and was his film debut. From there he went on to do several more movies before his breakout role in 2003's The Station Agent.
Living in Oblivion gave Peter perhaps a role he was most acclimated to, in that he played a man who was frustrated with typical clichéd roles for people with dwarfism. Even after a great reception for the film, Dinklage struggled to find an agent. He would go on to do 12 more projects between 1995 and 2002, before his breakout role in 2003.
And while Peter's fame and notoriety as an actor have certainly soared since then, it is perhaps his role as Tyrion Lannister from the incredibly popular Game of Thrones series from HBO that he will be most known for.
The Future Is Bright
While Kevin Hart and Peter Dinklage had vastly different starts to their respective careers, both have achieved great success as actors.
Kevin Hart has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has won several awards for both his comedy and his acting abilities, including BET Best Actor, CinemaCon International and Comedy Star of the Year, Image Awards (NAACP) Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series and Entertainer of the Year, MTV, Kid's Choice, Artist of the Year at the Acapulco Black Film Festival, and he shared the Blimp Award for 2016's Central Intelligence, with Dwayne Johnson.
Peter Dinklage has also had his fair share of acclaim and accolades. He has been nominated or won all the following and then some. A Golden Globe, A Primetime Emmy, Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror (USA), Community Circuit Awards, Broadcast Film Critics Association Awards, Chicago Independent Film Critics Circle Awards, Chlotrudis Awards, CinEuphoria, Critics Choice Television Awards, Film Independent Spirit Awards, Gold Derby Awards, IGN Summer Movie Awards, TV Guide and SFX Awards, Scream and Screen Actor's Guild Awards, Satellite and Phoenix Awards, PGA and Best Actor at the Ourense Independent Film Festival, Online Film and Television, IMDb, Las Vegas Film Critics, Monte Carlo TV Festival-Outstanding Actor, MTV and TV and New York Film Critics.
Most of Peter Dinklage's awards were for his excellent portrayal of the kind and compassionate Tyrion Lannister in, Game of Thrones. Lena Headey, who played his much hated sister in the same show, is actually a very close friend of the actor and the two have shared many sweet moments both on and off the screen.
Kevin Hart has also cultivated many friendships during his acting career, including but not limited to: Dwayne Johnson, Usher, Nick Cannon and Ludacris, to name a few.
When it comes to accomplishments, height doesn't really factor in. So it doesn't really matter if you're four, five, six feet tall. What matters is putting your heart and soul into whatever passion inspires you and leaving it all on the table. Peter Dinklage and Kevin Hart know a bit about that, and to their fans height is just a number.
