17 years before House of Villains premiered in 2023, Season 2 returnee Tiffany Pollard redefined reality TV as the meme icon, New York in Flavor of Love. At that time, she competed with 19 other women to win the heart of rapper, Flavor Flav. Tiffany was so good on TV that the VH1 show also asked her to return for Season 2. But she wasn't always the HBIC back then.

At the end of Season 1, Tiffany was attacked by another contestant, which disgusted Flav himself. The Brunch with Tiffany star was also unlucky with her on-and-off romance with the Public Enemy member, who dumped her during both seasons. Here's how Tiffany became a victim in her breakout show.

Tiffany Pollard Got Spat On During Flavor Of Love Season 1

During Flavor of Love's first final three elimination, Tiffany got into a fight with Brooke "Pumkin" Thompson, who got kicked out of that episode. The two clashed the most during the show. Upset by the decision, Pumkin spat in New York's face during a heated argument. At that moment, Flav — who ended up choosing Nicole "Hoopz" Alexander that season — knew he had made the right decision.

New York and Pumkin's spit scene ranked first on VH1's 20 Greatest Celebreality Fights.

In February, Brooke who now works as an accountant — expressed remorse when asked about spitting on Tiffany. "There was absolutely no thought," she told VH1 of that moment. "It was completely emotional. I was pissed. It's the lowest thing you can do to someone, pretty much. I didn’t think about it. It wasn’t premeditated. It just happened."

As for Tiffany, she still hates Brooke and doesn't plan on being friendly with her. When asked if she'd made peace with Pumkin, New York told The Messenger (via Reality Tea): "Hell no. But when I see that h*e I am going to rip her hair plugs out because she is balding and she's never got that face lift that I suggested." It was a reference to one of her clapbacks during her fight with Brooke: "B***h, you look like a f**king man. And you need that face lift."

Tiffany Pollard Was Dumped Twice By Flavor Flav On TV

Tiffany Pollard and Flavor Flav

Despite clashing with most of her co-stars during both seasons, Tiffany made it to the top two during both of her seasons of Flavor of Love. In a YouTube clip of her second elimination, one wrote: "Nobody deserve to be crushed like that twice ..that was wild." New York was devastated when Flav chose Chandra "Deelishis" Davis at that time.

She then lashed out at the rapper, saying: "Why the f**k did you bring me back? You s**t on me twice!" But recently, Tiffany said she "will always be friendly towards Flav" despite him dumping her twice on TV. She's also grateful for that experience as it led to her reality TV career. You cannot pay me to say a bad thing about that man... So I'm always gonna pay homage to him and say the utmost things about him," she added.

He's a great guy. Because had it not been for him looking for love, I don't think y'all would know me right now.

Tiffany received a two-season spin-off, I Love New York, in 2007, following her memorable first season in Flavor of Love. In 2019, the reality star clarified that she was genuinely into Flav — that she didn't pursue him just for TV. "Honestly, with me. It's always personality first. I don't care what you look like," she said of the attraction. As long as your personality is at a 10, that's so attractive to me."

Tiffany may have been a victim twice in Flavor of Love, but she knows she was mostly a villain on TV and wears it as a "badge of honor" these days. At the end of the day, she knows she isn't as bad as some fans may think off-camera. And that's all that matters to the House of Villain star.

Why Legend "Rowdy" Roddy Piper Hated House Of Villains And Survivor Star Jonny Fairplay

A legend hated Survivor and House of Villains player Jonny Fairplay so much that he accused him of something stunning.

"Well, you know what it is. I spend so much time with myself that no one knows me better than I do," she explained to Vibe in October 2023. "So it's not a label that I continuously put in the forefront before I do anything. But if people perceive me to be a villain, it's not so bad."

Because being a villain, you have to be strong, you have to have some level of competence. So it's actually more like a badge of honor.

But one thing she wasn't aware of until recently was her being the subject of many memes. When she finally checked them out, she said her favorite was the one of her sitting on the bed. "That's perfect communication. It says so many things without saying anything," she said of that scene.
