Jeff Probst is most recognized for his long run on 'Survivor,' but it's not just his witty commentary or banter with the cast that impresses people. Though he apparently lied to get the role, he's been a staple on the reality series for ages by this point.

There's also the fact that thanks to his time in the spotlight, Jeff has earned an impressive $40 million net worth.

But because it seems like he's constantly on TV, on location for 'Survivor,' some wonder whether Jeff has any time to actually spend all that cash. He's married, and has two stepchildren, though he and wife Lisa Ann Russell decided not to expand their family more.

So what exactly does Jeff do with all his cash?

Jeff Probst Does Spend Some Of His $40M

The first thing Jeff spends money on? He hasn't explicitly stated it, but fans can only assume that those stepkids he sometimes forgets aren't biologically his get all kinds of goodies. Or, at the very least, room and board, and probably their clothing and food and education taken care of.

Lisa Ann Russell's ex-husband, who happens to be Mark-Paul Gosselaar of 'Saved by the Bell,' probably pays his share for the former couple's kids. But it makes sense that Jeff spoils the kids, too, especially as multiple sources claim that the kids live with Jeff and Lisa Ann full time.

That won't drain his $40M by any means though.

Jeff Probst Owns Some Impressive Properties

Like other celebrities with tons of cash and tons of places to go, Jeff Probst does own property in various places. For one, he has a mansion in Los Angeles with his wife. The LA-area abode is around 8,000 square feet and is apparently pretty fancy.

The mansion was previously part of Gene Autry's estate, but Jeff apparently got it for a steal at $5M years ago. It's not necessarily flashy compared to his neighbors' homes, but Jeff had plenty of space to host the finale of 'Survivor' there once, so it's pretty spacious.

Since the show moved to Fiji, however, Jeff clearly spends a lot of time there. No word on whether he's bought a home there or is renting, but it's evident he spends a lot of time brainstorming and working on the show from his Fijian living room.

Jeff Has A Modest Car Collection, Too

Though he's not riding around in a private jet rather than driving 90 minutes, a la Kylie Jenner, Jeff does splurge a bit on his travels. Not nearly to the point of owning Lambos though.

Instead, Jeff started out with some modest rides -- a GMC Denali and later a Prius -- then added to his classic collection. Over time, he not only worked on his father's classic 1966 Corvette, but seems to have acquired some other vehicles, too.

Of course, none of his modest car collection pieces seem to add up to $40M, and while it's fair to assume that Jeff keeps some of his cash in the bank, there are some other ways he spends it.

Jeff Is Also A Charitable Celebrity

Like other celebrities with a few million to burn, Jeff Probst is fairly charitable with his earnings.

Not only has he supported organizations like St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and a pediatric AIDS foundation, but Jeff also organized his own foundation.

His organization, called The Serpentine Project, helps disadvantaged youth in foster care transition into society as adults after aging out of the system.

There aren't specific, revealing figures for how much cash Jeff funnels into his charitable endeavors, and he's clearly not in a position to donate the amounts that more well-heeled celebs can. But he's doing his part in other ways, like inspiring generations of people with his long run on 'Survivor.'

One Thing Jeff Doesn't Spend Money On?

While most celebrities tend to splurge on travel as part of their luxurious lifestyles, that seems to be the one thing Jeff doesn't have to spend money on.

Fans can assume that whenever Jeff is on location for 'Survivor,' his travel expenses are fully paid. After all, it's part of the gig, even if Jeff gets to spend his days off from filming relaxing by the beach or flying around in a helicopter.

He's also been able to enjoy a lot of adventures on the 'Survivor' dime, from rolling up to the set on motorcycles to dropping in via helicopter.

It's a charmed life, for sure, although Jeff's current net worth does reflect hard work over the years.
