What Happened Between David Letterman And Johnny Depp?

Things were very different for Johnny Depp during his appearances on the 'Late Show' back in the 2010s. There was no dispute in the media about his personal life and relationship to Amber Heard. Instead, it was nothing but humor, as Depp was actually discussing the ring he had bought for Heard on the show... oh how times changed.

As Johnny revealed, the ring was too big for Heard, so he decided to wear it himself.

"I have a female engagement ring. I was too big for my girl Amber, she's wearing the other one."

“The ring is too large for her, but it fits you perfectly,” commented Letterman.

“I think people are too scared to comment, ‘Why is a grown man wearing a woman’s engagement ring?'” joked Depp.

"What is the clip here Johnny," Letterman would state, "I have no idea," Johnny responds. Letterman would lose it a bit from time to time, saying "oh for God sake," which just added to the laughter.

Depp never took himself too seriously and that would continue during certain Late Show segments. Letterman would state "This is beautiful, this looks like a old fashion I don't know, sloop? Is it a sloop or something? Is it a yacht?"

Hilariously, Depp would look at the picture and state, "I really don't know... it's just a boat." the audience completely ate up the response.

Depp would also state that he would never read screen direction, nor did he watch the films he would appear in, again, Letterman would be stunned my these answers, and it was all in good fun.
