Katy Perry's journey as a singer has been inspirational, but recent revelations have made her fans even more enamored with her. She is one of the few celebrities who have come forward to share their struggles with mental health.

Mental health is a topic that is being given more and more critical with every passing day, especially after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Millions worldwide are trying to raise awareness about it in whichever way they can.

Some people have gone to great lengths to support their close ones through their journey toward a good state of mental being, while others have been encouraged to get the necessary professional help.

When influential people such as Hollywood celebrities come forward and talk about their own struggles, it serves as a source of inspiration for ordinary people since it makes them feel like they are not alone.

Katy Fought Depression And Thoughts Of Self-Harm

There is a pretense in society that the rich and famous do not struggle with anything whatsoever. Celebrities like Katy Perry and Selena Gomez repeatedly tear down such perceptions by being candid about their experiences.

In an interview with Vogue India, Perry noted, "We talk about all our different organs but never talk about our brain, which keeps us functioning the most." Lately, she has been a vocal advocate of mental health and is seen shedding light on various aspects of her mental health journey in the interview.

Katy revealed that 2017 was a bit rough for her. "I became depressed and I did not want to get out of bed. In the past, I had been able to overcome it, but this time something happened that made me fall down too many flights of stairs. I had to really go on a mental health journey."
