Who knew the hit film, The Wedding Singer, would be the start of a friendship that spanned over two decades and counting? Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore met back in 1998 on the set of this romantic comedy. Even though Drew didn't star in this film with her buddy, she was still there by his side for his moment of glory. The 2019 American crime thriller was a success and Sandler won the lead actor prize for his performance as Howard Ratner.

Drew gave a sentimental speech that left the SNL alum choked up.“You are capable of everything, and I have believed in that since before I met you, which is why I met you. I think this moment, honestly, could not be more deserved." Barrymore added, "You deserve the best, you give the best and you are the best. I love you very much, and I'm so happy to be here tonight to give you best actor from the National Board of Review."
