After being outed by rival rapper, Pusha T, for "hiding his son" from the world in 2018, fans were stunned by the news that Drake did have a baby that nobody even knew about it. This was especially shocking given Drake's Certified Loverboy status.

The following year, in his song Emotionless, the Canadian superstar went into detail about the situation, mentioning that when he'd first seen his two-year-old son Adonis, the baby's blonde hair and blue eyes gave him doubts about whether he was the dad to the baby that Sophie Brussaux claimed was his.

While Drake has formed a close bond with his curly-haired offspring, it wasn't until March 30, 2020, that he finally gave the world a glimpse of Adonis via social media. Fans were quick to point out the similarities Adonis shares with Drake's mother Sandi. But aside from Adonis' striking looks, there's so much more to know about the famous rapper's son.

Updated October 2023: Drake may have had a rocky start with his son, Adonis, but he has made up for those early years in spades since. This is because outside of the numerous events that the two are spotted at together, Adonis was recently involved in Drake's recent music video release, '8am in Charlotte'. Drake also helped Adonis release his first single, 'My Man Freestyle' complete with a music video for Adonis' sixth birthday in early October 2023. As such, despite living on different continents, it appears that Drake's wants to co-parent and be a part of Adonis' life as much as possible.

As mentioned, Drake’s son is named Adonis Graham. It’s been reported that he was born in the United States, but there’ve been no official documents indicating exactly where Brussaux gave birth. As such, reports have Adonis' place of birth being anywhere from Toronto to the United States, and specifically in California. What’s clear, however, is that Adonis spends most of his time in Europe.

Some fans have also tried to debunk the theory of Adonis' middle name. In Drake's 2018 song 'God's Plan', some of the lyrics read: "I only love my bed and my momma, I'm sorry." It did not take long for fans to theorize that Drake is actually saying "I only love Mahbed", implying that his son's full name is Adonis Mahbed Graham.

Multiple DNA tests would later prove that Drake was, in fact, the dad.

In May 2018, Pusha T put out an explosive diss track about Drake, titled, The Story of Adidon, which exposed the fact that then-33-year-old Drake had fathered a child that he was said to be keeping a secret from the world. In one particular verse, Pusha questioned why Drake wouldn’t acknowledge his son.

He raps: “Adonis is your son / And he deserves more than an Adidas press run; that's real Love that baby, respect that girl Forget she's a p***star, let her be your world!”

When Brussaux claimed that Adonis was Drake's son, he did not believe it or at least did not want to believe it given that the two had only spent time together twice. As such, Drake did a DNA test to get a definitive answer as to whether Adonis was truly his son or not.

"To be honest with you, I did a DNA test for my son and it came back to us and it said the DNA test got ruined in transit and they couldn’t be 100 percent sure that that was my son or not," Drake told Rap Radar. "So, I was in a really weird pending situation where I didn’t want to go tell the world that that was my son and it wasn’t."

But when the results came back, Drake stepped up to become the best co-parent he could despite not living near his son.

The Canadian superstar was in the midst of touring the world, so there wasn’t much focus put on the situation by Drake. But once he did find out he was the dad, things completely changed.

One of the reasons why Drake had a hard time believing that Adonis was his son was because Adonis has bright blue eyes. Both Sophie and Drake have brown eyes. But, Drake's mom has blonde hair and blue eyes as well. As such, it should not have been so inconceivable to believe that Adonis could take after Drake's maternal side of the family.
