For a time, it seemed like Kourtney Kardashian would never get married. She rejected multiple proposals from her long-time partner Scott Disick, the father of her three children, before they broke up for good in 2015.
But things moved fast once she started dating Travis Barker. The reality star was reportedly friends with the drummer for years before things turned romantic in 2021. Within less than a year of dating, the pair got engaged and officially wed this year.
Though the Kardashian-Jenner family has had nothing but sweet things to say about the newlyweds, there’s speculation that Kourtney’s younger sister Khloe may be jealous. Given Khloe’s lack of luck in love and her body language, there may be reason to believe she has mixed feelings about Kourtney and Travis.
Khloe Kardashian Has Been Vocally Supportive Of Travis And Kourtney
The Kardashian-Jenner family is known for having each other’s backs. So, it’s no surprise that Khloe has been vocally supportive of Travis and Kourtney’s union. It also appears she has a good relationship with her new brother-in-law.
For instance, Khloe shared a sweet message to Travis on Instagram after he sent her flowers ahead of the premiere of her family’s new Hulu reality show, The Kardashians.
“The most thoughtful," she wrote on her Instagram Story alongside a photo of the flower arrangement, which featured a note from Travis, saying, “Congratulations! Much love, Travis.”
Khloe also had sweet words for Travis and Kourtney after they tied the knot at a courthouse in Los Angeles. Khloe shared a series of images from the celebration, writing “Congratulations.” She later accompanied her family to Italy for the newlywed’s lavish wedding celebration.
Fans Think Khloe's Body Language Says Otherwise
Although Khloe has had only kind words for Kourtney and Travis since they got together, there’s been speculation that she’s not a fan of their relationship. In July, fans started claiming online that Khloe’s body language reveals she doesn’t approve of their union.
TikTok star Angeles posted a video analyzing an interview Khloe gave with her sisters, where she was asked about her Kourtney’s marriage. Though she answered positively, Angeles pointed out that Khloe looked visible uncomfortable while talking. The reality star keeps fidgeting, playing with her hair, and even says something under her breath.
At one point, the interview asks Kourtney about whether she wants more kids (she already has three with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, while Travis has two from his last marriage). “I would love two [more] in a dream world,” Kourtney replies. But Khloe seems off-put by her sister’s answer, responding with, “Oh my gosh. Just — that’s a lot of kids.”
Khloe Has Always Wanted Her Happily Ever After
Khloe has been looking for her happily ever after for years, but she hasn’t had a lot of luck in the romance department. She was previously married to Lamar Odom from 2009 to 2016. However, they eventually broke up amid reports of infidelity and substance abuse. Lamar has since admitted to cheating on her multiple times.
It seemed Khloe found love when she began dating Tristan Thompson in 2016. They went on to welcome a daughter, True, in 2018. However, days before Khloe gave birth, Tristan was exposed for cheating on her.
The couple eventually reconciled after True’s birth, but Tristan has had multiple cheating scandals in the years since. They broke up briefly after he allegedly kissed Jordyn Woods (Kylie Jenner’s then-best friend), but they reconciled at the start of 2021.
Last year, Tristan and Khloe revealed they were looking into reproductive assistance to have a second child. However, by December they broke up again after it was revealed Tristan fathered a child with another woman, Maralee Nichols, while in a relationship with Khloe. Tristan initially denied paternity, but later issued a statement confirming his son’s birth and apologizing to Khloe.
Fans were shocked earlier this year when Khloe revealed she and Tristan were expecting a second child together via surrogate. A representative revealed the baby was conceived before Khloe knew of Tristan’s infidelity. They’ve since welcomed a son but are reportedly barely speaking unless it has to do with co-parenting.
Needless to say, Khloe has been through a lot romantically. So, it’s understandable that she’d want to see herself in a happy marriage, just like her older sister. This doesn’t mean she’s necessarily jealous of Kourtney’s marriage. But it may have been difficult seeing her sister get hitched when she’s dealing with so much turmoil in her personal life.
Is Kim Kardashian The Jealous Kardashian Sister?
Khloe may not be the only sister to have mixed feelings about Kourtney’s marriage. Fans were convinced Kim shaded Travis and Kourtney during an interview with her sisters that was published in April.
At one point in the interview, Kourtney’s multiple wedding celebrations were brought up. During the discussion, viewers thought they could see Kim rolling her eyes in annoyance. On a Reddit thread, some fans theorized that Kim may be annoyed that she’s no longer the only sister to have walked down the aisle. “Again I feel like Kim liked being the only one that was married,” one person wrote.
It was also pointed out that Kim had just finalized her divorce from Kanye West when the interview was done, so she may have been feeling bitter that her third marriage didn’t work out.
Regardless if any of the Kardashian-Jenner sisters are jealous of Kourtney’s marriage, don’t expect them to vocalize it in an interview. Body language may be the only thing fans have to go on to back up the theory that Khloe and Kim are jealous.
