The Voice has indeed launched the careers of many. However, it is nothing new if they cannot keep the fame. Mismanagement — or lack of management — has led to many falling off. The Voice Season 6 contestant, Morgan Wallen, seems to be in that position.
Morgan has been in several controversies that may have cost him, but he has picked himself up seamlessly. The country singer may very well be swept off the face of stardom — for something else.
Fans are speculating that Morgan may be replaced by his management, with the fact that someone close to his record label is promoting a singer — Tucker Wetmore — similar to Morgan Wallen in voice and concept. However, it doesn't look like Morgan Wallen's controversies are the reason, because he is still just as in demand as before them.
Updated September 2024: This article has been updated to reflect the most recent information regarding Morgan Wallen and if Good Fame Management is replacing him.
Fans Think Morgan Wallen’s Management Is Trying To Replace Him
Fans theorize that Morgan Wallen's management team has nefarious intent

Morgan created a niche and sound for himself in country music after participating in The Voice in 2014. While he did not win, Morgan captured the hearts of many with his charm and voice, and music executives saw how commercially successful he would be.
The "Last Night" singer indeed became successful, leading and breaking the Billboard charts. Morgan also amassed a sizable net worth in a few short years. However, the mounting controversies, which later led him to be canceled had the singer taking time off the limelight.
While Morgan’s troubled personal life, which people find relatable through his songs, was somewhat a block to the singer, his record label, Big Loud, did not give up on him, or so it seemed. Fans speculate that Morgan Wallen’s team may be slowly replacing him with someone else.
Although there is no confirmation of this, fans noticed Wallen’s manager, Seth England's wife, Rakiyah Marshall, started her record label — Back Blocks Music — and one of her artists is Tucker Wetmore, an up-and-coming country musician in Nashville. For more insight, Seth England is Big Loud's partner and CEO. Therefore, the theory is built on connections.
"Hmm interesting. Sounds like she wants to mimic Morgan’s formula of success and try to replicate it with that artist. In my opinion, that guy sounds way more poppy, and just corny try-hard vibes."
Another fan stated, "Good luck to them because you usually can’t replicate the 'It' factor that some people naturally have. Morgan has it; he’s very charming and knows how to hold an audience in the palm of his hand. He’s forged his own path and everyone else is trailing behind him like Tucker. Just feel like total wannabes. People will eventually catch onto/get bored with that lack of authenticity, and they probably won’t make it to a high level of success."
Some fans didn't even know who Tucker was but recognized him as someone copying Morgan Wallen.
"It’s validation to your theory when I didn’t know who Tucker was by name but was almost positive I knew who you were referring to. I have seen him on my FYP a few times and every time I hear a word or two I think it’s Morgan. That’s even more odd now that I know the "connection" between the two. I absolutely feel your point has some teeth to it for sure!"
More believe that nothing would happen to Wallen with Tucker's appearance on the country music scene.
"Morgan has nothing to worry about. The amount of songwriters in Nashville… there are literally so many songs written here every day. Songwriters are definitely gonna try to pitch their songs to Morgan long before Tucker ever sees any of them."
"I'm not sure what's all going on either, but that is a conflict of interest, as with any other thing a husband and wife do business-wise. I do hope someone is looking out for Morgan Wallen. But I believe there would have to be," a fan stated.
"I agree it’s sketchy for sure. Wonder what Morgan thinks about it?" a fan raised a concern.

Tucker Wetmore Is Called A Morgan Wallen Impersonator By Fans
Morgan Wallen's successful marketing strategy is replicated by Tucker Wetmore, which makes the similarities more striking
Tucker is rising in the Nashville country music streets. However, he has got lots of complaints and reactions to his sound, especially from Morgan’s fans.
Under Tucker's Instagram posts, there are usually comments on how his style, voice, and songs have similarities with the country star. He is also being trolled for covering Morgan's song and the fact that he was preparing to go on tour with only four songs on his discography, and no album out yet.
Some comments read thus: "How are none of these comments talking about the fact this guy is a full-blown Morgan Wallen impersonator." Another under one of his posts called him "Another Morgan Wallen."
There are also reactions on TikTok of people thinking Morgan released "Wine Into Whiskey" and not Tucker.
Undoubtedly, there are some truths to this because Tucker, a Washington-born singer-songwriter borrows a heavy dose of Morgan’s 'twang'. According to Billboard, Tucker took a book out of Wallen's marketing strategy in using social media to attract his audience.
"He uses Wallen's trappy production and proclivity for alcohol-soaked laments – and now also may be poised for similar virility."
It’s easy to see the fixture on Tucker, especially after he rose to the spotlight when Morgan was going through one scandal after another and lying low.

Did Morgan Wallen’s Controversies Jeopardize His Fame?
Morgan Wallen's string of controversies almost got him canceled, but he is just fine
Morgan hasn’t had the smoothest career since he broke out on The Voice Season 6. From Morgan's entanglement with ex-girlfriend Paige Lorenze to bar fights to being videoed saying a racial slur, the singer hasn't had the easiest of years.
While Morgan did not have the cleanest records, he is a fine talent rare in the entertainment industry. Not everyone knows the personality of Morgan, but his controversies did not dent the superstar's music career. Rather, the controversies only created more buzz.
Some say Morgan dug himself into where he is, but it’s not enough to throw him off the deep end of obscurity. After taking some time off, the "Whiskey Glasses" singer came back and seemed like he was on the mend.
Nonetheless, Morgan reflected on his past controversies and how he is trying to be far from ‘that guy’.
"There’s no excuse. I’ve never made an excuse. I never will make an excuse."
Morgan went on to say, "I've talked to a lot of people, heard stories [about] things that I would have never thought about because I wasn't the one going through it. And I think, for me, in my heart, I was never that guy that people were portraying me to be, so there was a little bit of like, 'D***, I’m kind of actually mad about this a little bit because I know I shouldn’t have said this, but I'm really not that guy.'"
