Refusing to shoot a certain scene really isn't anything new in the world of Hollywood. Whether it be a film, or TV show, actors have turned down several pitches behind the scenes. In fact, some might've missed out huge opportunities because of it. Charlie Hunnam is rumored to have left Fifty Shades of Grey because of its revealing scenes.

Other notable rejections include Friends star Matthew Perry turning down a strip club scene during his time in the iconic sitcom. While Emma Watson also got caught off-guard when she realized what her This Is The End role entailed.

Wedding Crashers turned into a cult-classic, bringing in $288 million at the box office. The film got its release in 2005 and is still enjoyed by fans today. A major reason for its success has to do with the strong casting choices. Isla Fisher was an absolute yes from the start, given the way her audition played out.

Casting director Lisa Beach recalls the hilarious audition, "Isla Fisher was the funniest audition ever. She came into the room and did the scene where she puts the make on [Vaughn’s character] in the bathroom and suddenly just goes out of her mind. And Isla, dare I say, spread her legs, flopped me down on my back and was just crawling all over me."

As it turns out, Fisher was equally satisfied with her role. The actress revealed that the opportunity changed her career, while she would also be open to a sequel in the future - though it appears one is in the works at the moment.

"I would love to be involved in that project," she revealed with Cinema Blend. "I love David Dobkin, I think my career is owed to him [by] giving me a break with that character, and she’s such a wild, out there, hilarious person that it would be fun to do that. But I have not heard. I’m as in the dark as everyone else."

Isla Fisher Didn't Think Nudity Made Sense For A Comedic Role So She Suggested A Body-Double

Isla Fisher had great chemistry with Vince Vaughn in Wedding Crashers. However, despite her positive experience, there was one moment of uncertainty for the actress.

A certain scene required Fisher to show a little more skin... Given the context and that the film was a comedy, Fisher didn't deem that it was necessary to take off her clothes. In fact, she thought it would have hurt her character, and she's not wrong.

Fisher revealed, "I feel like if you have a female comic character, and then you see her nipples, then she is no longer funny, which is clearly wrong, but that was my theory, and that’s why I didn’t want to do it.”

Credit to Fisher for taking such a stance and not getting intimidated by her surroundings. She was right to make such a judgment call and in truth, she's far from the only celeb to turn down a certain scene, and request a double instead.

Several other actresses made the same decision, and either made the bold stance to turn down a scene altogether, or requested a double instead. Gal Gadot requested a double during a scene with Ezra Miller in Justice League.

The scene would see Miller lay on top of Gadot's Wonder Woman character. Gadot got out of it and is turns out, she just didn't have a positive experience in general shooting the film with Joss Whedon.

"I will never work with him and would never suggest any of my peers work with him in the future. He kind of threatened my career and said if I did something, he would make my career miserable and I just took care of it on the spot."

Another honorable mention goes to Michelle Rodriguez, who flat out turned down a storyline in Fast & Furious, given that it didn't reflect her character in the film.

"Is it realistic for a Latin girl who's with the alpha-est of the alpha males to cheat on him with the cute boy? I had to put my foot down. I basically cried and said, 'I'm going to quit and, Don't sue me, please---I'm sorry, but I can't do this in front of millions of people'. My whole point in being an actress is that I thought I got to live a dream. And I don't dream about being a s---! Do you?!" Rodriguez revealed.

Credit to these female role models for making such decisions.
