The recently released Suicide Squad 2 trailer has seen a lot of discussion on Twitter. James Gunn, the director of the sequel, released the trailer a few days back, and as per fans, it is "explosive and wild."

The film is the latest installment in the rapidly forming DC Extended Universe, or DCEU, Warner Bros.' answer to Marvel's monolithic MCU.

From the looks of it, the sequel promises an action-packed, fun ride, and fans are excited about the prospect of it doing better than the previous film, which earned a dismal 59% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Gunn released the preview on Twitter with the caption, "Our first trailer. Warning: gore & adult language & supervillains & adventure & heart. Can't wait to see it in a theatre with all of you on August 6. #TheSuicideSquad."

Many fans rejoiced at the release. Some were also quick to note that one of the characters had a starkly different design as compared to the DC Extended Universe flick.

One tweeted about the decision to show the King Shark, a new character being added in from the DC comic universe, as a Great White Shark instead of a Hammerhead. This remains a topic of discussion, because the comic books feature a Hammerhead Shark too.

Gunn has since then responded to the tweet with an elaborate explanation.

Gunn has also confirmed that the character of King Shark will be voiced by Sylvester Stallone. The duo is working again after Stallone played Stakar Ogord in Guardians Of the Galaxy Vol. 2. This is good news for DC Universe fans all over, as more collaborations can soon be expected.

Written and directed by Gunn, this highly anticipated cinematic outing has all the big names for the cast.

Suicide Squad 2 stars Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Michael Rooker as Savant, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, David Dastmalchian as Polka-Dot Man, Flula Borg as Javelin, and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn.
