She is using her status as a Bravo superfan to star in and produce a whodunit film titled The Wives, featuring a murder mystery inspired by Real Housewives. Little is known about the plot, but fans are assuming table flipping, hair pulling, and drink throwing to be a part of the film.

Jennifer Lawrence, who recently announced her second pregnancy with director and husband, Cooke Maroney, is set to appear in The Wives, as reported by Collider. The film is expected to be a murder mystery in the vein of The Real Housewives.

Apple Original Films acquired the Jennifer Lawrence-produced project in what is being described as a “highly competitive situation.” Apple Original Films previously produced Causeway, which starred Jennifer Lawrence alongside Brian Tyree Henry.

The Hunger Games star will produce the film alongside Justine Ciarrocchi for her company, Excellent Cadaver. Independent Spirit Award nominee and Zola writer Jeremy O. Harris and Josh Godfrey will also produce the movie under their bb2 banner.

The film is very early in development, which means there is no more casting news, and no plot details have been announced. There were rumors that Nicole Kidman was involved, but they have not been confirmed by anyone close to the film.

Recently, The Independent reported that Jennifer produced two politically charged documentary films: Bread and Roses, about three women living under Taliban rule in Afghanistan, and Zurawski v Texas, about a group of women who sued the state of Texas in 2023 for denying their abortion rights.

Jennifer Lawrence's love of Real Housewives has been well-documented over her years in the spotlight. When Vanity Fair asked which franchise she preferred, she struggled to choose.

The soon-to-be mother of two continued, "I mean, I love them all, but Miami — oh, my God! Miami is really special."

The Silver Linings Playbook actress is such a big fan of the Real Housewives franchise that she frequently talks with executive producer Andy Cohen about the storylines. The Oscar-winner admitted she "gives [Andy Cohen] a lot of advice" about being a producer of her favorite franchise.

Cohen told TMZ, "I like to hear what [Jennifer's] opinions are." He added, "She tells me who she likes and tells me who she doesn't like."

Talking to E! News at the 2024 Golden Globes, Lawrence declared that she would give the cast of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City her Oscar for making the “best reality TV finale, I think, ever.”

Jennifer Lawrence has already been in a war of words with the stars of The Real Housewives franchise. She should easily slip into the role of a Housewife in the middle of a murder mystery, as reality TV stars have already criticized her brutal honesty.

Never short of having opinions on the housewives, Jennifer called Erika Jayne (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) "evil." She added, “I would go as far as to say, um, she needs a publicist. Like, ASAP."

The comments came as Erika was embroiled in controversy due to the legal cases against her estranged husband and former attorney, Tom Girardi. He had been sued for allegedly embezzling settlement funds intended for victims of the 2018 Lion Air crash, a topic regularly addressed on the Bravo show.

Appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Erika Jayne called out the actress. “You know, it’s easy to label people when they are at their absolute lowest going through something in real time on television."

But anytime that [Jennifer] would like to come on down and mix it up with us, I’m sure that we could unmask the ugly parts of her personality as well.

Jennifer also had some scathing words for Vanderpump Rules' Tom Sandoval after he cheated on Ariana Maddox. "I curse the day you were born. You have bad skin. You have weirdly feminine (in a bad way) skin, and there's no amount of spray tan that could ever change the texture of it," she told a Tom cutout during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
