Back in the 1990s, trying to earn a guest-starring role on Seinfeld was definitely every actor's dream. If someone couldn't play one of the four main characters, this was the next best thing. While fans would like to think that every guest star had an incredible time during their shoot, sometimes personalities don't mesh well together and problems can occur at any moment.

Several actors have shared captivating behind-the-scenes stories about appearing alongside Jerry Seinfeld on the famous sitcom. While many had a good time, a few celebrities had some interesting things to say about Jerry's behavior.

What Did Kristin Davis Say About Guest Starring On Seinfeld?

Kristin Davis guest-starred in two Seinfeld episodes, although many fans would say that her first appearance is the one that everyone knows and loves. She portrayed Jenna in the season 8 episode "The Pothole." Jerry is happy in his new relationship with Jenna... until her toothbrush ends up in the toilet... and she picks it up and brushes her teeth with it. Jerry is grossed out by this, and he can't see Jenna the same way anymore.

Davis came back as Jenna once again in episode 9 called "The Butter Shave." This time, she and Kenny Bania are seeing each other, which is hilarious since Jerry doesn't like the fellow comedian.

According to Nicki Swift, Kristin Davis talked about Seinfeld in a video for The Today Show and said, "I remember, and I could be wrong, that she was kind of strong. Didn't she in some way stand up to Jerry?"

Before Jenna leaves Jerry's apartment, she tells him that she put something that he owns into the toilet, but she refuses to tell him what it is.

Davis said, "Jenna was super smart about Jerry's neuroses. That was smart on her part. She was a good match for him, he should have stuck with her."

The actress explained that she auditioned for Seinfeld a lot because she was such a huge fan of the popular sitcom. She said that she was "very very panicked to go to Seinfeld... I mean, seriously, like, cannot believe I'm there, super nervous, super excited."

Davis also told a hilarious today in the video for The Today Show. She said that Jerry whispered to her, "38 million people are watching... So that's how Jerry found his fun. Scaring the guest stars to death."

She added that Julia Louis-Dreyfus made her nervous as well. The actress who played Elaine Benes asked her how she was planning to act in the scene. Davis said that she loved Louis-Dreyfus so much and hoped that Louis-Dreyfus would be impressed.

Were Seinfeld Guest Stars Scared Of Jerry Seinfeld?

While other Seinfeld guest stars haven't said that Jerry Seinfeld scared them, some have explained the true behind-the-stories stories behind their infamous episodes.

Kathy Griffin guest-starred in the season 7 episode "The Doll" as Sally Weaver. She and Jerry used to live together back in college, and he gets angry at her for a mishap that occurs on a plane.

While most would say this was just regular human error, Jerry is convinced that Susan is the reason why he can't tell a certain joke during an upcoming performance.

Susan gives Jerry a gift for Susan Ross and George Costanza, and this results in a total disaster. Jerry's barbeque sauce ends up getting ruined since Jerry has to put the gift on his lap while flying home and a flight attendant smashes his stuff together in the overhead bin.

Griffin said, “I got a call from my then-agent, and they said there’s a package and a letter from Jerry Seinfeld. And I got instant diarrhea. I mean, I made it to the bathroom, but just barely. To this day, he brags about how he had his staff compose this hilariously insulting letter about when he had to watch someone really talk smack on him on TV.”

While some people might have been upset by this, it seems that Griffin didn't mind at all. Since she called it "hilariously insulting," she must have been able to laugh it off.

Kathy Griffin added that she then returned to Seinfeld for the season 8 episode "The Cartoon." She told HuffPost Live, "My character then became a stand-up comedian who made her living talking smack about Jerry Seinfeld.”

Marisa Tomei.'"
