Throughout his run on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon has touched on Donald Trump a few times. In recent history, Fallon has been typically bashing on the Presidentital hopeful. The same took place almost a decade ago as Bruce Willis appeared on The Tonight Show, and was rocking the Donald Trump wig. The segment was met with mixed reactions. Some were confused by the skit, while others loved the different side of Willis.

Regardless, fans caught Fallon saying something to his guest at the end of the segment, and it appeared as though the skit wouldn't make it on the air.

Let's recap what took place, and other problematic moments featuring Trump and Fallon.

Bruce Willis Wore A Wig And Imitated Donald Trump, But Jimmy Fallon Said The Segment Wouldn't Make It On Air

Bruce Willis was in fine form almost a decade ago, back in October of 2015, alongside Jimmy Fallon. Willis' career was headed in a different direction as the actor was taking part in his first Broadway play, Misery. Willis entertained the crowd with a wig that resembled something reminiscent of Donald Trump's hair. Fallon notes at the start, “What’s going on with the hair?” Willis answers, “It suddenly has just seemed to grow exponentially, and I was a blond when I was a kid." Willis jokingly adds about combing it "right to left. He continued, “Depending on the wind, really it just handles itself.”

Fans had a blast with the segment, which continued with Fallon showing classic photos from Willis' career while wearing the blonde wig. At the end of the segment, fans noticed that Fallon subtly tells Willis the segment won't make the final cut.

"Let's get to the interview. And I apologize. We will cut all of this out."

Despite Fallon's promise, it was in fact not cut out of the interview, and has been viewed by over 2.3 million fans ever since. Among the most liked comments on YouTube included a fan noticing that Fallon typically tells his guests the same thing during a ridiculous segment on the show, but doesn't follow through on his promise. The fan writes, "Let's get to the interview, we'll cut all this out." Posts this before they post the interview."

Fans had split reactions to the interview moment. Some were left completely confused, while others enjoyed the different side of Bruce Willis.

"Was so confused from the start of the video." Another fan adds, "Bruce Willis is a 'stand up for what he believes' kind of guy, no matter what anyone in Hollywood may say! Very strong man. Willing, almost daring, his fellow actors to say something."

Bruce Willis has a net worth of $250 million.

There was also a rumor floating around that Willis actually complimented Trump during the segment, and endorsed the Presidential hopeful at the time, but the footage was cut out by Fallon's team. Of course, this was never confirmed or denied by NBC. At the end of the day, fans loved to see this different side of Willis, in what was one of his last appearances on late night TV alongside host Jimmy Fallon.

Jimmy Fallon Doesn't Have A Positive With Donald Trump Nor His Hair

It seemed like things were completely fine between Donald Trump and Jimmy Fallon. However, following their interview almost a decade ago while Trump was running for President, things took a turn. Fallon faced the heat from the media for playing with Trump's hair. The feeling was that Trump was disrespected by the host. Fallon issued an apology, and was torn a part for awhile. “I’m sorry. I don’t want to make anyone angry—I never do and I never will,” he said. “It’s all in the fun of the show. I made a mistake. I’m sorry if I made anyone mad. And, looking back, I would do it differently.”

Fallon thought the issue was done with. However, Trump continued with a harsh tweet aimed at the Tonight Show host.

“.@jimmyfallon is now whimpering to all that he did the famous ‘hair show’ with me (where he seriously messed up my hair), & that he would have now done it differently because it is said to have ‘humanized’ me-he is taking heat. He called & said ‘monster ratings.’ Be a man Jimmy!”

Jimmy Fallon is making a salary of $16 million per year on The Tonight Show.

Trump continued, stating that Fallon personally called him and thanked him for the ratings boost. Fallon completely denied the statement, “First of all, I’ve never called this human in my life. I don’t have his number. I don’t want his number…I never said monster ratings. I don’t know what he’s talking about.” Fallon said, “By the way, Donald, I don’t know if you’ve seen my ratings the last two years — it didn’t help. Really, thanks a lot. Thanks for nothing. Help someone else!”

Fallon would also take back his apology, and ripped Trump over his hair, and what had taken place between the two.

"This is two years ago. We always wanted to touch Trump’s hair…. No one has any idea what is on the man’s head!” He also quipped that while the president’s hair is in fact a comb-over, ” it was like beating egg whites.”

Unlike Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel, Fallon's Donald Trump talk is fairly limited. Nonetheless, the two did not leave things off on good terms.
