Jimmy Fallon has been hosting The Tonight Show on NBC since 2014. Before that, he cut his late-night show hosting teeth over the course of about five years on the network's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. This career path has brought him a lot of success, including multiple Primetime Emmy awards.

At the same time, Fallon has developed a bit of a poor reputation for not always giving his guests the room to shine whenever they are on his show. On more than one occasion, the former SNL star has cut people short that he was interviewing. While a number of these guests are gracious enough to let this behavior pass, others have called him out for it.

From Ryan Gosling during his Late Night days, to Dakota Johnson in more recent times, here are some top celebs who have fallen victim of Fallon's interruptive behavior.

8 David Spade 'Will Tell The Story'

Fallon was hosting the Saturday Night Live actor and comedian David Spade, and asked him if he had any memories of his first ever visit to The Tonight Show. Spade started to explain that he had been on the program before Fallon's days as host. He, however, couldn't string even a few sentences together, as the host kept interjecting with his own bites.

In the end, Spade had enough and said, "I'll tell the story." At least Fallon took it in good stride, pretending to wrap up the show and walk off set.

7 Margot Robbie Promoting 'Suicide Squad'

Margot Robbie was promoting Suicide Squad when she went on The Tonight Show in July 2016. Fallon wanted to know about one particular scene where she stayed underwater for an extended period of time, and whether it might have been a CGI effect. As soon as the actress began to talk, Fallon cut her off with loads of extra follow-up questions.

They got to the end eventually, though, but it took about three minutes for Robbie to answer a question that would have probably taken seconds. RELATED: ‘The Tonight Show’: Fans React As Madonna Crawls On Jimmy Fallon’s Desk And Flashes Audience

6 Rami Malek Barely Got A Word In

Fallon had Rami Malek on to talk about Bohemian Rhapsody, his 2018 biographical musical film on the life of Freddie Mercury and his band, Queen. The conversation drifted towards the late, mercurial musician's eccentric dressing style, which Malek and the film's wardrobe crew had also translated to the big screen.

Except, Malek barely got a word in, as Fallon appeared to narrate the whole story himself.

5 Nobody Ever Listens To Taylor Swift

Fallon was at it again when he hosted musical superstar Taylor Swift back in August 2014. The singer was not interested in tolerating his disruptions, however, and clapped back at him, saying, "See where I'm going with this at least. Nobody ever listens to me!"

In most instances when Fallon is confronted this way, he usually recoils and concedes. This time, though, he doubled down as Swift continued talking. "You're not even looking at me," he said, making the whole scenario completely more awkward.

4 Dakota Johnson Got Fed Up

As was the case with Rami Malek, Fallon started to fill in gaps in Dakota Johnson's story when she appeared on The Tonight Show in January 2018. For a few times, he would suggest the next part of her narration but ended up being wrong each time.

At this point Johnson just got fed up and asked him, "Aren't you supposed to let people talk on this show?" RELATED: Fans Think This Celebrity Guest Finally Put Jimmy Fallon In His Place On 'The Tonight Show'

3 Weirdest Night Of Timothée Chalamet's Life

Timothée Chalamet was nominated for a Best Actor award at the 2017 Oscars for his work on Call Me By Your Name. Although he eventually lost out to Gary Oldman who played Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour, it was still quite a surreal experience for the young actor.

As Fallon's guest the following year, he narrated what the whole episode was like, but not without numerous interjections from the host. "It was the weirdest night of my life," Chalamet said, of Oscars night. He might as well have been talking about that evening on The Tonight Show.

2 Ryan Gosling's Anecdotes

At the height of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon in 2011, The Notebook star Ryan Gosling went on the show to promote his new film, Crazy, Stupid, Love. As well as discussing the movie, Gosling had a few anecdotes about how he was coping with life in New York, where he had only recently moved.

Fallon was not as interruptive with his comments back then, but he spent the bulk of the interview laughing a little bit too disproportionately.

1 Chris Hemsworth Got The Jimmy Fallon Treatment

MCU star Chris Hemsworth got his own Jimmy Fallon treatment when in a cameo on the show in January 2018. This was on the back of his reprisal of the character Thor in Avengers: Infinity War, which at the time had grossed about $800 million at the box office.

The only saving grace for Fallon was that as he interrupted his guest this time, it was at least to praise him for his work. Unlike many others before him, Hemsworth would just let Fallon do his thing, and then he would continue speaking when he was done. NEXT: Fans Think This Is Bill Maher's Most Heated Interview Ever
