Arguably one of the most powerful podcast hosts, Joe Rogan boasts millions of listeners each month. Given the scope of his audience, he remains one of the most influential figures in the media space.

Considering this, it's all the more surprising when Joe shares some dubious takes with his audience. Recently, fans were left scratching their heads after Joe claimed to have proof that dragons were a true historical being.

Joe Rogan Claimed He Had "Evidence" That Dragons Were Real

On his X/Twitter account, Joe shared the link to a YouTube video entitled "Evidence Dragons Were Real." The nearly 23-minute video claims to have proof that dragons once walked the Earth along with other animal species. As of this article's writing, Joe's message on X has over 3.3 million views, and many of the comments below the video refer to how Joe directed them to the clip.

"I believe because Joe Rogan believes," one user wrote. "Who else is here because of Joe Rogan being called a dragon believer?" shared another. One person went on to joke about the strangeness of Joe's suggestion:

Joe Rogan just knows when I'm about to smoke a joint and need something to watch.

The video was originally created by an account called the Archive of Creation, a Christian group who claims that their mission is to bring awareness to "intelligent design and special creation theory."

Everything We Know About Joe Rogan's Personal Life

Many of Joe Rogan's most devoted fans know next to nothing about the famed podcaster, comedian, and UFC commentator's personal life.

Joe's tweet comes on the heels of his admission that he had a huge curiosity surrounding the subject of dragons. On an episode of his podcast earlier this month, he spoke about how he was fascinated by the fact that so many ancient cultures had legends surrounding the mythical creatures.

On The Joe Rogan Podcast, he even went on to describe how he was beginning to believe that dragons had actually been real:

I had this guy, Forrest Galante. He's a wildlife biologist and he thinks that there's a real possibility that dragons were an actual thing and they lived alongside humans.

Joe Sharing The Video Was A Response To a Critique From The View

The timing of Joe tweeting the video link was apparently because he was responding to criticism from a reality TV show. Joy Behar, a host from The View, apparently called Joe out for his laughable and unsubstantiated beliefs. During an episode of the talk show, Joy voiced her opinion on how media figures like Joe were no longer as reliable as they once were.

Joe Rogan Held The Line On One Issue During Three-Hour JD Vance Interview

Rogan is known for not pushing back much with guests, but he pressed Sen. Vance at one point.

"I think that that's why people like our show, because they know that we are checked by ABC News," Joy explained, going on to add, "We went from Walter Cronkite, to this guy, Joe Rogan, who believes in dragons." In response to her critique of his beliefs, Joe would then go on to share the YouTube clip to his millions of followers, seemingly as a sign that he was doubling down on his opinion.

While it may sound ridiculous, it's possible that the definition of "dragon" can be stretched to mean something less fantastical and more realistic. That is, some viewers of the video noted that an ancient dragon may be little more than a small reptile, such as a lizard that at one point sported wings — that is, nothing as large as resembling a dinosaur.

Podcasts like the Joe Rogan Experience and Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy have become crucial for campaign messaging.

If this is the case, Joe certainly doesn't seem to be alone in considering this to be a real possibility. Other viewers of the video shared their own thought process that allowed them to believe dragons could've actually graced the Earth at one point. The comments of the video were filled with various theories put forth by viewers.

"Flying winged lizards exist in Southeast. They’re the size [of] a hand," one commenter pointed out. "Bones are extremely light and would be a lot harder to fossilize. Bigger ones probably existed when more carbon and oxygen were in atmosphere," they added, explaining why there might be less physical evidence of ancient dragons compared to other species.

No matter the case, Joe certainly seems to have gotten his fans talking about the topic, and the video now boasts over 130,000 views along with over 750 comments. His doubling down on the topic is also par for the course for the podcast host, as this isn't the first time he's had beef with the hosts behind The View, either. In fact, Joe caused controversy earlier this year when he referred to the program as a "rabies-infested hen house," which some fans denounced as an offensive and misogynistic comment.

For his part, however, Joe seems to show no remorse for his blunt comments or ridiculous beliefs. Instead, he almost seems to be rubbing his belief in dragons in people's faces, as after the backlash from The View, he actually changed his X profile to reference the spat. It now simply reads "dragon believer," making it clear he's having fun mocking those who disagree with him.
