In terms of listeners, Rogan stands alone at the moment, even surpassing legends of the game like Howard Stern.

However, it should be noted that it took some time for the 'Joe Rogan Experience' to become the juggernaut that it is today.

In truth, not every interview or show has gone smoothly. We'll take a look back at some of the more troublesome interviews from the past. Given how these shows went, we likely won't see certain guests invited back to the show in the future.

Joe Rogan Got Heated With Several Guests In The Past

There is no denying that the 'Joe Rogan Experience' touches on sensitive issues and in some cases, the context of the interview might go a little too far, turning into an awkward conversation.

Rogan had a few of those instances throughout his run as a podcast host. Jamie Kilstein is a name from the past that instantly comes to mind. His conversation with Rogan took a turn when he made mention that victims of rape are disadvantaged and dealing with the tragedy might be worse than death itself.

Rogan took exception, calling his guest crazy for making such a bold claim. Rogan stated that dealing with the issue would be the way to go, totally denying Kilstein's statement.

Others that can be added to the list include Milo Yiannopoulos, who took a major stance on religion, claiming that most people in today's world act in accordance to Christianity, this was another statement Rogan wasn't pleased with.

Honorable mentions also go to Mark Gordon and Eddie Brave, two individuals that also aggravated Rogan.

Turns out, one guest might take the top honor and in truth, the chances of seeing him back on the show are pretty darn slim.

Steve Crowder Was Never Invited Back To The 'Joe Rogan Experience'

It started off as an honest conversation, however, once the topic of marijuana was brought up about two hours into the conversation, the mood quickly spoiled, with Rogan seeing red.

Of course, Rogan is a big advocate for cannabis, though his guest Steve Crowder was not. Things took a turn when Crowder suggested that false claims are made about marijuana's positive effects, like curing cancer.

Rogan's demeanor quickly changed, stating that CBD had powerful effects against cancer. He would also go off on his guest for trying to interrupt him while making a point.

Things took a bad turn and according to fans, it might've been because Rogan was a little intoxicated.

"Joe gets angry and rude when drunk."

"This was an amazing podcast all the people commenting "JOE GOT TOO DRUNK" etc. Try to appreciate the rawness of the interaction and arguments. the realness of this podcast episode makes it one of my favorite so far."

Fans weren't all that happy with Rogan's reactions to certain things Steve was trying to say. When reflecting on the interview, Joe did show remorse.

Joe Rogan Apologized For The Podcast Interview

Rogan hasn't shown much remorse for past guests, especially when the context got out of whack. However, this time around, Rogan would take to Instagram, apologizing for the way he conducted himself during the interview alongside Crowder.

"Well, this one went off the rails for a while. First of all, I genuinely like Steven as a person, and although I might not agree with him about everything I think he's a good man. During the podcast, we got into the subject of marijuana and by that time we (especially me) were quite a bit drunk and didn't exactly handle the conversation really well."

"We managed to pull it back together at the end, but of course the shitty parts are all you or I will focus on for a while."

Despite the hiccup, Rogan remained and still remains, the king of the podcast world, as his show remains the most listened-to program out of all podcasts, according to Variety for 2021.

We don't expect the controversy or the structure to change at any point, as Rogan has made it clear, he isn't afraid to tackle controversial topics, no matter how big of a stir it may cause.
