After Joe Rogan became famous thanks to a sitcom and a reality show, he rose to a new level of popularity as a podcast host and UFC commentator. In those two roles, Joe has gained millions of fans who care about what Joe thinks, how much he pays his employees, and how he spends his money. Many of those same fans also care deeply about Joe's rivalries, so they think about things like whether he has more listeners than Howard Stern.
Unfortunately for the wealthy hosts of The View, it seems clear that Joe isn't a fan of theirs. In fact, Joe has made it abundantly clear that he thinks that The View is a horrible show and why he feels that way.
Joe Rogan Called The View "A Rabies-Infested Hen House" And Insulted The Show's Fans
After The View premiered on August 11, 1997, the first episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience" was released more than 12 years later on December 24, 2009. Since The View is a daytime talk show on network television and "The Joe Rogan Experience" is a podcast, there is no obvious reason for the shows to become rivals.
However, it would be an understatement to say that the hosts of The View and "The Joe Rogan Experience" don't see eye-to-eye. After all, the hosts of the two shows have publicly disagreed on several occasions over the years.
Despite the many public disagreements, it was still pretty incredible when things came to a head. In April 2024, Joe Rogan expressed how horrible he thinks The View is, and he also went so far as to insult the show's viewers.
During the opening minutes "The Joe Rogan Experience" #2130, Joe spoke to his guest Coleman Hughes about his recent appearance at the time on The View.
How Long Have The View's Current Hosts Been On The Show? | |
---|---|
Host | Tenure |
Joy Behar | 1997–2013, 2015–present |
Whoopi Goldberg | 2007–present |
Sunny Hostin | 2016–present |
Sara Haines | 2016–2018, 2020–present |
Ana Navarro | 2022–present |
Alyssa Farah Griffin | 2022–present |
As can be seen in the YouTube upload of the episode, Joe made it very clear what he thought of the show by insulting The View.
[The View hosts get] so much hate watching and hate watching viral clips of them saying ridiculous things. I mean, it is a rabies-infested hen house.

Whoopi Goldberg And The Hosts Of The View Slammed Lana Del Rey For Her Glastonbury Set, But Were Fans Equally As Angry?
Lana Del Rey didn't finish her Glastonbury set after showing up onstage a half hour late which upset many observers, including the women of The View.
While only Joe knows exactly what was going through his mind when he made the aforementioned comment, it certainly seemed like he was insulting The View's hosts. However, if there was any question about how Joe felt about The View's hosts, he very quickly cleared that up.
Unfortunately for everyone involved with The View, millions of people heard Joe Rogan's comments about the show. According to a Variety article, "The Joe Rogan Experience" was the most listened to podcast on Spotify's 2023 chart and the article stated that Joe's podcast had millions of listeners.
First off, Joe explained what he thought about The View's Sunny Hostin. As Joe explained, he thought Sunny was a smart person, but he still questioned how she thought about things.
"It's interesting because I think Sunny is very intelligent, but she's ideologically captured."
Unfortunately for The View's other five hosts at the time of his remarks, Joe's remark about Sunny Hostin were the most positive by far.
No matter what Joe Rogan thinks of The View, co-hosting the show has long been a highly sought after television gig. Since the show premiered in 1997, there have been 24 permanent The View co-hosts.
As Joe continued to talk about the show, he questioned the intelligence of several of The View hosts. That said, Joe didn't reveal exactly which The View hosts he felt were unintelligent.
I think there's a couple of the other ones, I don't have to name any names, who are just very dull-minded.
In addition to talking about The View and its hosts, Joe also addressed the show's viewers.

Joe Rogan Admitted He Only Did Fear Factor For The Money, And Even Got Physical With A Contestant During The Show
Joe Rogan wanted off Fear Factor, and things got troublesome during the production of the reality show.
First off, Joe spoke at length about The View's studio audience. Joe told Coleman Hughes that he believed that the members of The View's studio audience are paid to be there.
On the r/theview subreddit, a fan asked the other users what their experiences were like when they were a part of The View's studio audience. In response to the 2024 post, several Reddit users wrote about attending The View tapings. The most upvoted response included details about having to get in line on a wait list to get tickets to see The View's taping live.
Joe also compared The View's studio audience to the people who've gone to watch other talk shows be recorded live. According to Joe, the difference is that the people who go see other talk shows filmed actually want to be there.
"Well, their audience is not really their audience. Their audience is a group of people they bring in to watch television shows... A lot of them are paid. They're paid to be there. They have to guarantee that there's [sic] gonna be people there. So there's [sic] services that you hire. When the show gets really, really popular, you know, like Letterman or something like that, obviously, it has its own fan base. Right. Those people will try to get tickets before anybody else does. In that case, they probably don't need to use the service anymore."
After questioning The View's live studio audience, Joe went a step further. During the episode of his podcast, Joe insulted actual The View fans by claiming they are immobile.
"The real fans of The View, they're like, 'Oh, these ladies are on point.' Most of those people can't leave the house. Like, they're probably immobile."
The View's Sunny Hostin Insulted Joe Rogan Too
In September 2020, there were a lot of complaints about the Presidential debates that were held involving Donald Trump and Joe Biden. In response, some people called for Joe Rogan to host a debate between them, and he expressed interest in doing that. When that idea was brought up during an episode of The View, Sunny Hostin didn't hold back when she called Joe out.

Meghan McCain Claims The View Employees Could Be Punished For Liking Her As She Says 'There’s Not A Chance' She'd Return
Meghan McCain claimed people who work on The View behind the scenes can get punished for being friends with her.
In September 2020, The View's segment about the idea of Joe Rogan hosting a debate was uploaded on YouTube. In that video, fans can see the moment when Whoopi Golberg asked Sunny Hostin about the idea of Joe hosting a presidential debate.
Unlike Sunny Hostin, Meghan McCain expressed her support for the idea of Joe Rogan hosting a presidential debate during the conversation on The View. After discussing how outdated she felt the format of presidential debates were, Meghan stated she would “love to see it happen” in reference to Joe hosting a debate.
In response to the idea of Joe hosting a debate, Sunny immediately brought up the controversies about his past jokes.
“I think it would be inappropriate for Joe Rogan to host a presidential debate. I mean, I think given his use of the n-word, I think given his comparing a Black neighborhood to ‘Planet of the Apes,’ given the fact that he has called a transgender woman a man, I think all of that disqualifies him to be the host of a presidential debate.”
Later during the conversation, Sunny was asked again to comment on Joe Rogan potentially hosting a presidential debate. At that time, Sunny called Joe out for the way she felt he speaks about people.
“I am a traditionalist, as you know, I think that journalists should be hosting these debates. When you talk about a Joe Rogan, who has notably made misogynistic, racist, homophobic comments, that is someone that I have no interest in being given that kind of [platform].”
Clearly, Sunny seemed to dislike Joe as much as he thinks The View is a bad show.
